Recaro seats?

I assume they mean something like the Genesis R-spec.

A barebones car that lacks certain luxuries (like AC) to save weight and still has some other upgrades like beefier brakes and stiffer suspension

Because being a top of the line brand, there is a reputation for comfort and support which we won't have to worry about with generic brands. Not to mention the added aroma of sitting in a seat that has proven itself in many racing applications. Basically, it's for those of us who don't want to swap seats in the future, OEM quality FTMFW. It's one less thing to worry about replacing.

I'd be down for that option. Especially considering it's going to be cheaper than going for the aftermarket equivalent (toyota will buy in bulk)

I'm really hoping for a nice track edition, with BBK, Recaros, lightweight alloys, sticky thread, aggressive exhaust, and sport-tuned suspension.

Sure, as long as they're an OPTION. I might be the odd man out, but I do not like Recaro seats. I've never been in a Recaro racing seat that I considered comfortable and the aftermarket seats were mediocre for daily driving at best. I'll take Bride seats every time over Recaro.

Having said that, the LAST thing I'm interested in changing are the seats. lol. Import Tuner Magazine tryouts aren't a high priority for me.

Bride seats are a bit on the widthy side for me. But then again... you gotta sit in all of them to like the one you want. Can't be too brand specific. Lol

^^^THIS my friends is the smartest thing I heard anyone say about anything regarding Recaro seats on the FT-86.

Seriously, the brand name does not matter in this case. A recaro is a recaro but a simple supportive/comfortable seat is all you really need.

Finding an aftermarket seat i think is easier than finding an aftermarket steering wheel.

I can hardly find any steering wheeel that looks good. Usually only Sparco or Momo is talked about. Anything else?

This isn't a reflection on you at all Giccin, but I read that as "no giants or fat people"... Which basically characterizes most Americans.

Seats are easy enough to replace that I'm not too worried about it. But they would have to be pretty horrible seats to make me want to swap them out before they wear out.

If they do offer a seating option it will most likely be a recaro option, given that i haven't seen any manufacturer offer any other branded seats.

Here in Australia recaro seats are offered in the current Renault Megane RS, Renault Clio, Golf R and previous generations of the integra type R. I'd expect the FT86 to be competing in the same market segment so it would be a good option to have for the car.

OMP makes really nice stuff, easily as good as Sparco and better than MOMO imho (I've used steering wheels from all three companies.)

That is, assuming you want a 330mm wheel (like the Sparco you linked to). Size is way more important than looks in a steering wheel, so put some real thought into it before you buy.
