Siphoning gas

Am I the first person to attempt this? I can't be? Is there some sort of baffle in the fuel tank on these cars? No matter how much tubing I shoved down into the gas tank I was unable to reach more then what seemed to be an inch or less of gas.

I've done this on a car and motorcycle with relative ease but on the BRZ I'm just baffled

Correct. There are screens in the tank to prevent siphoning.

That's not the problem. Mr Circle Jerk. He / She must put more gas in the tank. THis should NEVER be tried with an empty fuel tank. Explosions may occur.

It's not a screen, it's a ball-type check valve. It's there to prevent leaks if the car overturns.

You might be able to get a really small hose past it (thinking something like aquarium air line), but it'd take forever to get any volume through it.

STFU. It was a joke douche. And cars blow up all the time from siphoning too low of a tank too.

My first two sentences was joking. My third sentence is agreeable.

Well in that case I apologize for my comment. I blame the Internet for it relaying sarcasm.

I was thinking the same thing, unless the guy is on a Fast & Furious fuel heist on a significantly smaller scale.

Even if you get under the car and disconnect the hose you can't really get anything out. If you absolutely need to empty the tank you need to remove it from the vehicle. Sorry for the bad news
