Feck! - GT manual for sale

Hi guys,

I will probably be having to sell my Black 86GT manual in January! Following a visit to a surgeon today I need a major back op (3 discs out!) and will be unable to drive for quite a while, 3 to 6 months off work and need 25K in out of pocket expenses to pay for the privelege! Not happy!!!

If anyone is interested in the car it is fully Opti-coated (with warranty) for super easy cleaning, has upgraded HID lights and will have an option of GTS wheels, genuine GTS Sat Nav system and a Visconti tune which tranforms the engine low down. Has done just under 4K and totally unmarked.

Will put it on CarSales later but wanted to offer it on here first.

Please PM me and I will work out a price depending on what upgrades you want with it. Registered in Nov.

Don't worry though - when I am fixed up I will be buying another one!!!

Cheers.

The cable can be sold on to anyone or you can borrow someone elses. I have purchased a cable for mine for the reasons explained below.

You have to buy a licence and tune for each individual car but cables can be shared.

If you don't own one, basically you can flash the car by borrowing a cable and providing you don't want to flash it back to stock you are fine.

However if you want to flash back to stock to take it to the dealer for servicing or warranty work etc. you would then need to borrow another cable to flash the tune again. Seems like hassle so I decided it made more sense to own my own for the sake of $300 or so but if there was a group of locals etc. who get together regularly and can get easy access to it one cable would probably work fine.

Sadly yes. Got to have three discs out, two level fusion and then an artifiicial disc replacement (new, state of the art, expensive and not covered by health fund!)that will hopefully restore almost full movement after 6 to 12 months! The good thing is at least I have gotten to drive the car and it is the best one I have ever driven. It means I have something to look forward to after the surgery/recovery and the fact I have to try and lose 10 to 15 kilos means it will go a bit quicker. :happy0180:

Cheers mate - didn't know how bad it was until today but surgeon sure he can fix me so fingers crossed. It will give me plenty of time to be on the forums while I recover.

Yep, HCF but they don't cover all of the surgeons fees (he is supposedly one of the best) or the replacement disc etc so this is 'gap' I have to pay. It will be worth it if it works out as planned.

Please make sure to exhaust all possible options before going under the knife.
I highly recommend tracking down a competent osteopath.
Start here - Australian Osteopathic Association www.osteopathy.org.au
Take all your x-rays etc
My osteopath did wonders for my back, they will soon tell you if they can help or not.
Hope it works out well for you either way.
