The price difference for tires in the same width in 17s or 18s, can be close to $100 per tire.

Shoot, I'd say if you can afford Weds, you could probably get away with a pair of 17" for track and 18"s for street use! I personally love the way 18"s noticeably look better IMO.

I see you went the 18" route and yes I really think this car was meant to have 18's but for Autocross and track days I think (after some research) that 17's would be a better choice overall.
