Yes this is more expensive but results would be smoother install and much cLeaner sound...just my 2 cents ive thought about this for a couple years now.
My car PC does all the processing an ms8 can do, and then some.

The grip tape makes it MUCH better, no sliding around and your feet stay nicely planted.
For $25 I'll bite regardless, is LM Local Motors in Chandler? Sorry I'm a computer guy not a car guy.

If by "Chandler" you mean "across I-10 from firebird raceway" then yes. I live in Tucson, and am horrible about remembering where each section of Phoenix is geographically located.

Well now thats a whole different ballgame, thers so much you can do with a car pc. But for the average person not the techie installer like one of us the ms8 is way easy and not discounting pc's tablets are well portable and if its installed righ, being able to take it with you is a huge bonus.

We could do a BRZ version, wouldn't be hard. All that would change is the FRS letters on the top section to say BRZ.

You make a good point. Had I not wanted to use a PC to go active. I probably would have put a nexus 7 in there

Well removed the pass rear panel to find a very small area.... I would have to get a big 8" and it will take some fiberglass engineering to get it in there and im worried about panel rattle. I may have to break down and cut the panel for a finished insert that allows the sub to breath. I just really dont want a corner trunk box and the 8 is way to big for the passenger footwell. I thought for sure if a 10" fit into a boxters footwell i could fit an 8 into this one. Well let me do some thinking on this......
