FA20CLUB Over Pipe Front Pipe & Cold Air Intake Now Ready

Just wanted to share this weekends fab work. We managed to get another fresh test car so we wouldn't have to removed the turbo kit from our AT. The Over pipe is constructed of 304L Stainless Steel Mandrel bent pipes as well as the Front Pipe. Fits factory components so no worries there.

These are just some crappy cel phone pics. I get some nice ones that show just how nice they really are.

The intake we went a different route. We wanted to minimize bends in the system and maximize flow. We opted for 2.75" Aluminum Tubes transitioning to 2.5". We are actually able to fit the entire system in 2.75" but you would have to use a rubber liner to protect it from rubbing. Ill be testing its as a complete 2.75" kit as well as with a 2.5" front tube. This should net some really nice consistent gain on our new road race car while on the track. We will be dyno testing Monday for you guys.

Tentative Pricing:

CAI Intake System $245
Over Pipe $250
Front Pipe $225
Over & Front Pipe $500.00 Shipped

DYNO Chart

Green Line: Stock With Overpipe, Front Pipe & CAI Installed Untuned
Blue Line: Overpipe, Front Pipe & CAI Tuned +19-21WHP over untuned results
Red Line: Overpipe, Front Pipe & Stock Air Box Tuned +10WHP over untuned results

The car lost power without tune adjustments. I have noticed that most customers who install the over & front pipe contact me with datalogs running extremely rich from their current tune and complaining of a loss of power. Ill have all the parts uninstalled tonight and be able to run the car with all stock parts tomorrow and I can almost expect the baseline to improve. Whats amazing is that this combo is almost what im seeing with the Drop-IN header back setups ive tuned locally. They have made 3-4whp more than this car did tonight. Not bad for a minimal investment. Im not done with this tune but the car has a track day this weekend so we have to start installing all the goodies for it. I let the tune conservative since the engine only has 80 miles on it. After this weekends track day ill finish extracting as much as i can from here and still leave it safe for the upcoming season. This car is purpose built for track only events in the southeast so she will be seen @Homestead, Sebring, Daytona, Road Atlanta etc

Hmm.. that intake looks familiar. Anyways, looking forward to seeing the achieved gains with proper tune.

so a few questions for you guys

1. catted or test pipe only?
2. mind some close up off car pics to show the welds?
3. maybe I'm misinformed, but doesnt metal tubing defeat the purpose of CAI? like wouldn't the engine bay heat it up therefore defeating the point?

Only so many ways to go CAI on this car. Our other idea would have made a longer tube and been an even tighter fit. We just improved on what we saw as being a CAI system with 3 90 degree bends. Didnt make much sense to have that many bends slowing down velocity.

1. both offered catted version is $70.00 more
2. once we finish up all have some close up pics of the final piece hi-res. fyi welds always look good when you fuse the pipes together so thats baller but not any addition to strength.
3. engine heats composite materials just the same. The one advantage I have with this design is I can always add some sort of thermal barrier coating internally or externally or simple thermal wrap goes a long way.
