Ark DT-S Vs MXP SP
I've been looking at the catback exhausts from Ark (DT-S) and MXP(SP), And I want to know which is louder. I"d prefer 4-4.5 inch tips, with an aggressive tone that's loud, but without drone. The Evo 3 looks good but I've heard of drone and vibration in the cabin.
DT-S MXP SP http://www.flickr.com/photos/isteve7...n/photostream/ Any reviews/ personal experience? |

A friend just put the DT-S on his BRZ, and in my opinion, it makes the car sound the way it should have from the factory. It's NOT a loud system (A track pipe is PHENOMENALLY louder), it sounds refined and smooth.
If I had the money, it would be on my car, no questions asked. |

Never heard the ARK in person but still loving my MXP, it has a very deep tone and pretty aggressive. Are you going to be getting a front pipe also or just the cat back?

Although I haven't heard in person on an FR-S, on the Z's they both sound amazing. Both companies make quality products. Let me know if you need pricing on either system.

I have an A/T on my FR-S, not sure if that affects it but I know some companies make transmission specific parts.
I'm looking for it to be loud, but not muffler-delete loud. If the DTS is described as quiet, I'm not sure if I would like it. SRT sounds amazing, but the tips don't fill the space IMO. Invidia N1 has a good sound but I don't like the angled mufflers. has anyone heard other fr-s/brz with aftermarket exhaust? And thank you, I'll definitely check the forums when purchasing my exhaust. |

The MXP with no front pipe isn't very loud. The sound is great but I feel like you'll want more. With that said, it depends on what other mods you plan on doing.

I will try to get a video of the DT-S. Honestly its perfect. Just loud enough but you can cruise by without notice if you need to. I've wanted to do a video but I was waiting for the exhaust to "break in" a little before doing so.

That would be awesome. This exhaust is at the top of my list right now and it seems like there are a lot more videos of the Grip to be found than the DTS.
