+1, exactly what I had in mind... You really have to make sure the dealer comprehends and confirms your requests.

You may have to insist on tagging along with them when they fill up the fuel, just to have the peace of mind.

Congrats, OP... Look forward to some images when you get an opportunity.

Oooh, that sounds right since the OP stated that his parents told him to wait another day until picking the car up... Shucks.

Probaby should've let the dealer know at the time of placing the order (if it was an order), and then once again before the car was near the completion of its transit...

Oh well... Let's hope for the best.

Check it from front to back. My dealer asked me if I wanted the front license drilled or not, (told him, hell no). Sit in the car, ask about certain features if you have questions. Take it for a test drive before you start signing papers. Read the papers carefully before you initial making sure it matches up with what you were told and went over.

Enjoy one of the most fun cars I have ever owned! Every day you drive it, it gets better and better. Good luck man, and drive safe. I'd have killed to have a car like this at your age, so take good care of it and don't do anything stupid.

When I test drove my car (before taking delivery) I was confined to city streets and city traffic. I was satisfied that it was a good car without faults and took delivery. It wasn't till after I owned it and had a chance to drive it under different conditions that I suddenly became aware of what a jewel I had purchased. You're in for some good times. Good luck.

Make sure you carefully inspect the entire vehicle before driving off the lot with it. Bumps dings or various imperfections sometimes things can happen during transport.

True story. Back in 1967 a local Ford dealership was taking delivery of an especially ordered white station wagon when it fell on its left side while the delivery driver was backing it down off the huge trailer that had brought it and other cars to the dealership. The body shop repaired the left side of that car and delivered it to the customer that had ordered it and the customer never knew.

Just goes to show you can't be too careful.
