It's just like what was stated, there wouldn't be a reason for Vivid being banned as a Vendor on the majority of other forums. Reading some of the feedback on those sites I can see some of that starting to show here as well. I personally use another vendor who has been nothing but the example of an excellent, customer service oriented vendor. I won't mention them again, but look at some of my previous posts or send me a PM if you want to know whom I'm talking about.

We still think it is the best sounding exhaust so far.
I would not consider it a bad exhaust, it sounds great and looks good but the problems are the fittings and the warranty. If you are going to weld it you should be trouble free.

After seeing thread after thread on this and other forums, I will never buy from Vivid, Agency Power or Status.

There are a lot of vendors on here that go out of the way to take care of you. All of the vendors I have done business with have been great with communication, pricing and support.

" I also forgot to tighten the exhaust clamp and my AP catback hit the ground and was dragged for over a mile into the pits" not trying to stir anything up, but it seems to me that no manufacturer that I am aware of covers improper installation. I don't understand how you can be upset over your exhaust falling off when you installed it incorrectly and then proceeded to drag it across the track for what you claim to be over a mile, then you bitch because your diffuser got burned. Quit acting like a b*tch, man up, accept that you fucked up your car. People like you are what's wrong with this country.

I disagree, people being hostile towards people with no reason to be is what's wrong with the WORLD, not just the country. How about you don't say anything if your only plan is to try and troll the OP like a 10 year old?

Hey EZwood , i was going to post this whole story explaining what i have explained in the last couple of pages in how i gave vivid the benefit of the doubt and why that clap was not my only problem but instead im not going to even address you. You are being used by Vivid. Go ahead man keep being on their nuts, im sure its only a matter of time before the shit his the fan and you are going to need them, look at how they handled matters with me man and i probably have spent a ton more money with them that you have. Cant wait to see how they treat you when you need them.

Very nice Sean, using your fan boys to try and make me look bad. Unfortunately the community has already had about enough of vivids lies and bull crap. Tick Tock Tick Tock i think its only a matter of time before you guys get booted, ive seen bigger companies fail due to customer service problems. If you have something to say post it your self, leave your minions out of this, or are you afraid to worsen vivid's rep? Really man how worse can it get after the way you treat your clients.

@vividracing

I would not even pay attention to this punk. Sadly i was once like he was, blinded by how "great" vivid racing is.

Even so, that doesn't justify the childish name calling. I may like Brand X and you may like Brand Y, that doesn't mean I get/should/will/deserve to call you a name.

I'm no fan boy. I have their exhaust and crank pulley. I have no idea who Sean is, I'm going off the information I see. Even if I didn't purchase anything from them I would say the same thing, you admitted to not putting the exhaust on properly and as a result you damaged it. Clear case to me.

What is this, Judge Judy? Man i gave vivid the benefit of the doubt, understand that i was under their spell just like you are right now. You could say i tried covering for them, and when i reinstalled the clamp it popped off again. Now when the exhaust hit the floor the only thing bent and scratched was the mid pipe. Let me make this easier to understand with pictures.

Look under your exhaust for a second and you will see this part which is your mid pipe. This is a photo taken the day it fell off at the track, the only thing damaged was the mid pipe, the clamp was fine. We popped it back in and tightened it down and in the next run it came off again after around 5 laps sometimes it would take more than that some times it would take less. The exhaust did not drag all the way back, it sits on a rubber mount so it would only sag and hit the pavement on bumps on the track. When i heard the exhaust pop off i slowed down and got into the pits, the thing would only hit every now and then on un even surfaces.

Nos the second problem lies here, in the right canister connection to the y pipe this whole section of the exhaust stayed put when the mid pipe came loose since it hangs on rubber mounts. I have no idea how the two would be connected. It was not a bad install because a track tech verified the rest of my exhaust and made sure everything was tight and Ok'd me and even after he tightened the exhaust it still popped off the next track day, the techs even made fun of the design and so did my local performance shop.

These welds are located in the right canister, this had nothing to do with the first track day problem and they tore.

And here is another one for you, just incase you did not ready my first post completely.

One tip has the logo, the other doesnt. Now is this a install defect as well. I just checked my invoice and i paid 845 big ones for a piece of crap design. Its pretty but thats about it. Anyways man good luck with doing your thing for vivid, dont tell me i didn't warn you.

No Logo

LOGO

Here is a shot of when i installed the exhaust: Take a look at the mid pipe clamp the screws are tight and so are the ones on the right cannister they are closed shut meaning it cant tighten any more. This picture was before i took it to the track.

I agree with you on the way the back section is put together, it doesn't make sense. Maybe I don't have all the info, but from the info you put up, and you did say that you are being as transparent as possible on the info, I gathered that you didn't tighten something on the exhaust and it fell off as a result, then you just drove as your exhaust that you paid $850 for dradded along the ground. Maybe next time you describe a situation you could include all the details so people don't jump to conclusions.

For you new exhaust, may I suggest a Perrin? :P I love mine and the best part is the V-Band clamps can't slide apart! It's impossible! lol

Anyways I hope you have better luck with whatever new exhaust you choose my friend, it really sucks what happened to you. I know I would be pretty F***ing bulls**t too if this happened to me...exhausts should not just fall apart. The SRT catback has the same clamping mechanisms as the AP but I have NEVER heard of an SRT exhaust just popping apart!

Keep in mind that on a track you can't just pull over and break out the ratchets to put it back on. Depending on track location he may have to drive all the way around just to get back to the pit entry.

Good opportunity to use the "ignore" feature.

On another note, Vivid does do one thing really well: YouTube videos!
