Glad to see the guys have a sense of humor, can't do much but laugh when one makes a legit mistake anyway.
Look forward to hearing what they sent out lol..... troll face letters would be great. Coupons would be better though, and something they probably already have.

If it is a coupon, I hope they give us a few months to redeem it. I won't have the funds (or the car) for a few months.

Honestly I am not sure why people are demanding they honor a free system.
1. This has happened before, millions of times to millions of online places, not just the car world. 2. They really don't even have to do anything. All of you, even the very first person that attempted the offer knew it was too good to be true, because really, there is no business model ever that profits off of giving shit away. 3. Let it die. It's awesome they are wanting to do something to "right the wrong" but chill out people. Maybe if you weren't such cheap assholes all of the time looking for a quick steal and instead put forth your hour long endeavors blowing these guys up you might be able to actually afford one. |

1. Obviously 2. I think the Power ball Lottery profits off giving stuff away. 3. It's dead and over. Everyone got a good laugh, and Auto City Imports got some good publicity out of it. Also, will likely get a boost in sales. And I'm curious what you do for work, and because the line about blowing them up for and hour and us being able to afford one, would roughly mean an $860/hr pay. Right? Or maybe the lack of sleep is catching up with me. Sorry for feeding the troll guys but curiosity got the best of me. Not a single person in here has demanded anything. They've all praised the company for handling it well. The company's promise to send something has only raised their popularity with the collective community. Please don't start wars that don't need starting.

I wasn't generally saying they honor the price but honor something to compensate for the product or the mishap.
Also this isn't the only thread made about the product, but this is the one that includes the "update" which everyone received who had applied for it. Again, the facepalm yadda yadda yadda is why I said let it die. Cus really, what is any of this accomplishing? *Facepalm* |

So they're sending us stuff in the mail and they even gave it a discount amount that's relevent to the car? Save $86. These guys are pretty cool. Not only did they handle the situation with style, they're taking advantage of it too. All while benefiting their customers.

It is accomplishing massive amounts of free publicity for the company. I, like others have never heard of this company until this thread. I already have them bookmarked and plan on using them for orders in the future. and I would be more likely to spend a couple extra dollars with them just for the response. I mean come on, 99.99% of us knew this was a mistake and in good stride the company obviously took the 300 orders as a joke and replied back. Their reply was priceless in my opinion. It will move me to order them first. so whatever they may send, coupons, stickers, just a single exhaust gasket, who knows. I'm sure it was worth every penny to the company in advertising. |
