Suffering from squeaky windows?

I've had squeaky windows before but my driver's side window is really getting pretty annoying. My coworker heard my window roll up all the way from the other side of the parking lot this morning. Since I have to roll up/down my window for various key cards every morning this is becoming a huge annoyance.

This thread talks about the auto "crack" feature when opening/closing the door but mine and a few local friends are having this issue far beyond that.

Just came up recently. I think it's when the window is damp for the few times it's happened, similar to the few other cases. It's obnoxiously loud.

I've had it happen but only recently, I've deduced that it was the seal inbetween the 2 windows on the door was forming oddly around the seal on the door frame.

Had this happening too, we just had a couple of weeks worth of rain here in SoCal so that explains it for the both of us.

Was going to WD-40 it like a noob. Stops squeaking when its sunny

I suspect this problem will start to bubble up for many people in the "wet/snow" states. Though, mine only happens when it's damp to dry. When it's completely wet it's gone. However, the problem is.. it's been dry for a week or so and the thing just seems to squeak louder now since it does get damp from the morning dew (parked outside).

I'm not sure if WD40 would be wise. It might coat the glass itself which would be kind of annoying seeing the streaks as you roll up, no? Let us know if does work for you though.

I think the compound of the rubber guides needs to be changed to something polyurethane or something along those lines. It's never been this bad in my other cars.

Happens when it's wet, but not all the time. And it's certainly not as loud as the video posted. That would annoy me.

It's hard to tell how loud this would be in person but it's very similar and mine can get pretty loud. Thanks for posting this.

It only happens after a wash, windows squeak going up or down, but once dry, noise gone.

We are forced to fit smash and grab in South Africa, which like a VPS film on the inside of the driver and passenger windows, which could cause friction on the rubber housing.
