54 km at delivery.
Eventually sorted it out as to why Below is the abridged reply from Subaru HQ "Further to your query re above , as you may be aware from Natalie we have checked through our vehicle manifest and Bill of Lading , and identified the car came into Aust with this higher than normal klms . FHI have checked their records and established that this VIN was selected for Quality Control testing . FHI is required under Aust ADR’s ( Conformity of Production ) to randomly test cars built for the Aust Market . These cars are tested on a dyno machine as well as on their test track and the gas emissions and fuel economy are measured to ensure they fall within the allowable limits and advertised figures . Cars are driven for about 40klms through their forward and reverse gears . To be valid all testing must be done with 1 person only in the car , at “normal “ speeds and with a full tank of fuel . Testing is done under strict supervision , with no undue loads put on the car whatsoever . I can understand your concerns here but can assure you that your BRZ has not been subjected to anything remotely stressful , load bearing or taxing ….its just travelled maybe 40klms more than “normal” . Cars are just picked at random . Hope this goes some way in addressing your concerns . Happy to answer any further questions" Happy with Subaru's reply and the full tank I had on pick up may have been mostly 100 octane! |

mine had 9k's on it, average consumption was 28L/100, dont really care, if they let it idle for extended periods glazing the bores it will eventually get a new short motor under warranty anyway :p
Was more interesting to see the oil overfilled by ~0.4L |

Not puffing, just defending my point of view like everyone else here which everyone is entitled to do. IMO my posts were factual, honest & to the point. I'm not trying to be an asshole, the whole point of this thread is simply to get everyones input on odo reading @ delivery. Period. If I'm confronted with a problem, I deal with face on. I have no bad blood with Toyota, in fact I love the guys. I've had a long term relationship with Toyota HO & my dealer, I reckon they're great. They are one of the reasons why I keep going back. PS: calling a group of ppl names does not help the situation. I have respect for everyone. |

JP do you think the overfill was to allow for some
loss during the run in period? |

OK mont, you win ! You're 100% correct.
And as sales manager you clearly have nothing to do. And finally some advice for you, change your avatar to a frog & disappear to another forum where all the frogs hang out. This is a dedicated 86/BRZ forum, it's pretty obvious you are on here only to stir people up. |
