Any way to get firmware update (i.e. download to SD) and apply?

So, has there been any word about a permanent fix, yet? I called my dealer a couple of weeks ago. They said they were calling Subaru; I haven't heard from them, again, yet.

I called Subaru. I await their response.

Called Subaru corp the end of last week. I am tired of hearing "GPS signal lost" every morning. They said I should get a call by Wednesday. Dealer looked at the car and even duplicated the problem but without a TSB they don't seem to be able to do anything. I will report back one way or another on a response.

^ My dealer could not replicate. One of these days I'll put together a week's worth of "GPS signal lost" bits off my dash-cam that happens at the same exact spot every morning and e-mail it to Subaru directly.

Yeah, the same spot thing is really kind of strange. For me it is probably within 5ft of the same spot every morning even though the car has full view of open sky. If you need the dealer to duplicate it make sure that the dealer waits 4 to 6 hours after you drop it off, also start the car inside the shop like you are coming out of your garage. That should help him to duplicate the problem.

Yeah, that's why they will never replicate it. They don't have indoor space to store it for a couple of hours, which means they are starting it outside. I doubt they will be willing to push the car inside their service area manually.

I heard from Subaru Corp, as promised. She stated the same line that everyone else has been getting. They are aware of the problem, Subaru is working on it, no ETA on a fix. She told me to check with the dealer on my next service to see if there is a fix out.

Well, I have had the fix for a month now and I haven't had a 'searching for satellites' other than the first day I got it back. I've used the Nav to get places and it's working well.

I hope Subaru get's to you guys soon! Maybe it's a parts thing?

They've been giving out a work around for a couple months in the form of an updated antenna and firmware.
The final firmware is what people are waiting on.
I'm not sure why they're not giving everyone the work around. It fixes mine nearly completely.

Anyone with an aftermarket rearview camera/speed sensor bypass try getting this TSB work done? Curious if If I should disconnect everything and put it back to stock.

Wow! I guess they don't keep the advisers at Subaru very informed. The TSB was out the same day she said it wasn't out. Since the dealer had already confirmed my GPS loss problem he is ordering the parts without me bringing the car back in. Yay!

@Foobar: I don't think they would mind the camera; They might complain about the bypass, but probably not .

Just spend twenty dollars and buy a new antenna and mount on dash. All of your issues go away. Search my solution.
