I have custody of a 2002 MR2 for a couple of years. It's my "trainer" until I get the BRZ.

I had a crimson red '91 MR2 that didnt' pass smog this last May. With over 280,000 miles and a number of cosmetic things wrong the MR2 was retired. I loved her but she had to be put down.
The FR-S came out just in time. I walked into the Toyota dealership on May 5th and put a deposit down on the FRS. My car was the first of their allotment to arrive and I picked it up on May 29th. The MR2 was such an awesome car (I don't care for the newer MR2 spyder model). One can only hope the FRS will establish itself in my heart like the MR2 did - so far so good but we'll see after 280,000 miles. ;p |

I had a 88 MR2 Supercharged (was my first car) with t-tops. Even after driving a 04 WRX and the 13 FRS I still consider the MR2 a personal favorite.. such an amazing machine.
However! I love my FRS<3 |

I had a red 91 MR-2 Turbo which was my first car here in the US way back in 1995. It had a t-top. I traded it in when the engine was 'destroyed' after a timing belt/chain was replaced by an incompetent shop. I loved that car!

The roll bar significantly stiffened the chassis. I heard that in doing so, it sort of unbalanced the car front/back and made it even more squirrely. I was going to buy a front sway bar for it but ended up buying the BRZ. Problem solved! Get a roll bar though - it could save your life! |
