Developer,

Thanks for the time you took and the info you posted on the washers. No doubt these washers can be sourced from somewhere other then the dealer for something less then the cost of my first born child.

It was my understanding that the Transmission fill/drain washers were actually different sizes? Is this not the case?

Not that I could tell using calipers and my eyes, they seemed to be the same flat washer.

Thanks. That's good news. So the diff fill/drain washers are the same and the tranny fill/drain washers are the same. So we only need two part numbers.

Was the tranny washer steel or aluminum?

I would feel pretty secure reusing the flat transmission washers at least once, if they are in good shape. I would check the surface of the washer and make sure there are no defects. They are also pretty soft so I would put them on a flat surface and make sure they aren't severely deformed.

Didn't stick to a magnet and soft so I am assuming aluminum.

Thank you for the information

You can get "generic" crush washers at any auto parts store for less than a $1 each I just didn't know the size the buy. I ended up flipping and reusing the diff ones with no leaks so far. The next change I'll get new washers.

You bet, I am really enjoying the fluid change. My transmission change to Pentosin II made a huge difference in shifting.

Don't reuse the Differential washers. They are crush washer, I confirmed by doing the fluid replacement. The transmission ones are not crush, preferably change them, but I don't see much trouble in reusing them once.

Amazon has some hand and air pumps to drain the fluid.
