did this article just confirm the BRZ STI? We knew it would eventually come but Japan only model for now? Much like the TRD on the Toyota?

Like others have said, I wouldn't be surprised if the BRZ STI was a Japan only car and not available here (though you could always special order STI parts through te international mail).

It's another reference at the 220-230hp rumor going around right now. Until Subaru makes the official announcement, I don't buy it.

Their source is the Motortrend article which is more less hearsay. When a BRZ STI model comes out you'll hear about it; if you don't hear about it you know why.

The article said Japan then Europe then USA for the STi model. Not Japan only.

I am not buying it either as Subaru stated it was not going to make one. I was just wondering why is it in the article as well. If they come out with an STI model I will still be more than happy with my Limited model.

Now I know why they (Subaru) got a "Special" Award. Mazda CX5 won car of the year. Bummer.

I saw on Facebook that Sti specs have been "leaked" from the mule that running on the Nurburgring. I'm sure it's just as credible as all the other specs that are out there right now.
