Have you tried taking out the TRD filter and putting the stock one back on?

Feel unsafe starting the car up now.

Made logs of the start up and some runs. Submitted them on the support console.

Anyone else getting this popping?

I get the same thing when cold starting. What I have been doing on cold starts its starting the car and turning it off right away before its stalls. I do that 3 times and then on the 4th try it starts fine. I hope there is a fix to this soon. I was going to fill up with pump gas last night because of this but the e85 tune is so much fun I decided not to. I'm on v1.08b4 by the way.

I've had my E-85 tune for almost a month and I haven't ran it yet due to the cold start issues folks continue to have. Can't wait until the next version!

Edit - Just had a pm - he hasn't got to mine yet so there must be a pretty long queue but at least I know I am not lost in the system. I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

This "moaning" is actually useful to others so we can know how long people have been waiting for their tune. I know it's not useful for John though...

Maybe instead of directing the moaning at John specifically (which pisses him off ), just post how long you've been waiting for your tune or response from him so other can have a general idea of the wait times before sending money.

Just a thought.

I think, based on the history of this thread, that some people will react negatively to this "airing of laundry", so to speak.

I agree that some level of transparency would be best in any service delivery, but I just don't think things will ever run smoothly given the amount of people who purchased tunes from John, the limited amount of time he can work on all of these, in addition to everything else that he has on his plate, and the rapid pace of development inherent to the ECUTek BRZ/FRS RaceROM project. Until RaceROM settles down and updates only happen once in a while, I think the best we can do is submit and wait, unless it's a critical issue like your car won't start.

That all said, I have a pending ticket in John's system, not quite 2 weeks yet, but it's not set to a high priority either. It's just additional datalogs as requested by John on the AFE Takeda tune, but I am a couple of beta versions behind the current release, so that'd be nice to get caught up on eventually.

In any event, I'm also testing a tune from another source, so I'm in no hurry.

EDIT: updated tune received right at the 2 week mark. Thanks John.

It doesn't auto renew so ever month I have to get it fixed... I've was at PRI last week so was a little busy.

True. And the point isn't necessarily to have everything "run smoothly" because things can run smoothly and still take a while. Look at disneyland for example, those lines take forever but it's pretty organized and runs smoothly.

So, because of people posting their wait times, I know it would take at least 2 weeks for John to get to a new ticket. If I purchased the tune knowing this, I wouldn't have a problem. But, if no one was posting wait times, I purchased the tune, and made a ticket, I would've been caught off guard waiting more than 2 weeks for a response.

But from what I've read of the thread, not much since it's so many damn pages, is that people aren't airing their laundry, just making complaints directed at John and, as he put it, "whining."

If you post about how long you've been waiting be an adult about it. The man's busy and you are at the mercy of John, don't piss him off or your ticket might get "lost".

I've always thought the period looks much better outside of the quotes... good thing my writing professor isn't on this forum

John-
You have to be the most unprofessional vendor I've ever come across. We are ALL busy in our lives. We ALL have to deal with crap...family stuff, work schedules, health, etc... Yet, you seem to piss all over people every day. I can't fathom why people on this thread bend over every day, and still worship you. Personally, I think they're all afraid that you'll say "no tune for you" - you're like the soup nazi in the tuner world.

Grow up man...we are all busy. If any of us treated our customers the way you did in the real world, we'd either be fired or lose customers. Keep it up. Pretty soon all your potential customers will go to Perrin or FA20.
