prices paid?

Hey guys, sorry if this has been brought up already, but I searched and couldnt find the thread (I swear I saw one). But was wondering what you guys paid for your FRS/BRZ. Just asking because I was recently at the Subie dealership this past Saturday and they were trying to rape my butthole like no other. Basically the BRZ was stickered at 34k, and I talked them down to 32k, but they wouldn't budge after that. I was totally serious too and was ready to make a deal, but they were such pricks, and didn't even seem to want my business. I know what they go for as far as MSRP, but wondering what you guys paid out the door for your FRS' and/or BRZ's. I was shooting for a BRZ for the better interior, but now might go with the FRS since it's about 25-26k. Thanks

If you're getting the limited BRZ, that would be the price out the door. And if you're planning on getting an FRS good luck on finding one that's MSRP here in the bay area or anywhere in CA.

32k is too much for the premium BRZ.

Right at $28.6k with taxes/title/licence/7yr extended. $25.1k before taxes/extra warranty.

I got a lot of 'stories' about different pricing of extended warranties, although Scion pricing is set and isn't different for different zip codes as was told to me. I just kept to a number I was happy with and kept it there, and check with CA DMV site for actual calculation of DMV fees. I had one dealership giving me a waaaay higher number for titling fees, but I called them on it.

They asked me what I wanted to pay, I said 28k, and they said "we can't go that low". I'm trying to do a trade in too, which will put me under by about 2k, which is fine.. They said, they needed 8k down, and it would be $526+/mo for 72 months. I laughed in their face and said, You want me to pay $45k for a 26k car? Laughed and walked out.

From watching this board a while It looks like they are sticking to Californians, part of the cost of living there I guess. You might be better off looking out of state- Oregon, Nevada, Utah, etc. I know the prices are better out there. Then take a road trip or fly (for cheap). I wonder what they would say to a straight deal without trade in? The trade-in could be the killer.

Sell it privately...dealerships rip you off on trade-ins anyways.

Paid msrp + taxes and fees for my FRS. I looked at BRZs for awhile around the bay area, unfortunately you're not going to find one any time soon for MSRP. Call Tommy Quach down in San Jose Capitol Subaru, they have a 5 month+ wait list for MSRP BRZs. Or buy out of state (colorado).
