Probably not much that you will see on the dyno, maybe 2-3 but with all the exhaust work i've done i needed something to get the air in a little smoother. New tune file from increased air flow is where i'm hoping to get the power from.

That piece is the second piece that replaces the airbox and snorkel...

In this picture you can see the metal piece plus a silicone piece that looks A LOT like this part:

The PERRIN inlet hose is going to be around $200. When we sell it, it will be sold separately than the intake system, but we will probably have some kind of package so they could be purchased together.

So the inlet hose (silicone piece?) is the same for stock airbox or the full intake? That's what I was hoping for.

The inlet hose, which is posted here, is going to be compatible with the factory intake box, so it can be done before or after an intake upgrade. Or done by itself.

LOL@that price! I guess for people who are first time buyers of anything of this type they would look at this and think it's reasonable but for the rest of us..holy!

And companies wonder why the aftermarket is so quick to copy a design and sell it for a quarter of what the 'manufacturer' is charging. I'd gladly buy a chinese made tube vs a $200 tube due to a name stencilled on it.

This part is being made for an economy $25k car not a highend european automobile..yet the pricing doesn't reflect it. I feel bad for all the sheep who end up paying $200+ for a mass produced silicone tube.

Yes, the preceeding has been all IMHO - take it as you want, hell go ahead and mislabel it "hate" if you choose to be that ignorant. I just think it's a joke a manufacturer is willing to charge so much for a part that literally costs dollars to make. (Yes, I know this doesn't account for R&D but seriously you think it's rocket science to remake an OEM piece out of silicone? lol@you) And yes, I have experience with offshore manufacturing and the costs associated hence why this thread has me SMH!

I don't take offense to this at all and I assure you that I am not ignorant.

I am vain and don't mind spending extra money for a proven name in the business and the quality that comes along with that. That is why my closet has nothing but Kenneth Cole and D&G inside it. In that regard I, like many others, am a label whore and proud to be one at that.

Have fun in your Honda and your cheap, Chinese parts from eBay.

I won't comment on the price of this particular item but i feel that Perrin offers very fair pricing across the board for their products. Like any other company they are in the business to make a profit and the market for auto performance parts is hard with all the "made in China" ebay crap being sold cheap it hurts the legitimate companies a lot.
