I thought the same thing, but it would be easy enough to just drill a few holes in the sides that would serve as vents.

I say put the vents in and angle the gauges toward the driver and you have a good unit.

I don't have any other photos but watermarked ones, sorry. I should have put gauges in it, but this was just for fitment and photoshopped to accent the pillar itself. They fit perfect, and using factory pillars as our foundation, it clips in perfectly. Only problem now is waiting on Scion to get these in for us to get going.

Monday - im taking first 10 pieces made. I thought about adding vents for people on request. So some will be availibe with vents - others without. No need to point gauges to the driver - cuz they are visible super good anyway. Will post pics of the finished pod next week with vents and without.

I found the original pic just to show it wasn't photoshopped in.

I am no auto engineer, but color me curious about how this interacts with an SRS airbag going off.

Funny you ask; it's an interesting feature. After the airbag goes off, you immediately gain the ability to read gauges from your forehead . Imagine: Boost, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure all readily available while brushing your teeth in the bathroom!

I'm kinda curious about this as well.

Im digging all these new gauge pod designs... Cant wait to see a pod that covers the analog speedo... I want to say you could fit at least two pods in there without blocking the tach.

I think Actual vents would look better. I feel like just the wholes would look cheap...
