I was pulled over in NC going 70 in a 55, there was a trooper in the far right lane, nobody was going past him and one guy nearly caused an accident slamming on his brakes, so i went ot he fast lane and sped past. Trooper flipped his lights on and pulled me over madder than hell, came up to the window screaming "you know what the !@#$% speed limit is????" I told him 70 with a smile, he literally yelled back at the top of his lungs, ITS 55. When he came back from running my liscence i told him, im not sure who pissed in your cheerios, but im going home. Took my liscence and left with one stunned trooper still standing there. Im from out of state, he couldnt do nothing more then mail a ticket, never got one. Theres another story ive got, and i wish i had the video from the cruiser to show this one to you guys. Got busted full on fast and furious style after an imprompt drift session in a parking lot. Literally at least 9-10 squad cars from all exits came swooping in. lots of talking back to the officer, who happened to be this young kid with some serious parental issues. Guess theyll take anyone these days, anyway, ended up with me in court and my lawyer comes out of the office with the district attorney, and the officer, and busts out laughing. This is a 80 year old lawyer, busting out laughing in the courthouse, tells me he has never seen anyone talk back to an officer like that in his entire career. He goes "youre an idiot, but that was funnny as hell". I asked the officer on his way out for a copy of the tape, his face got real red and he yelled back "NO".

This was around 6 years ago when I was 18...A buddy of mine had a party and the next day another friend, who was responsible and didn't drive home, asked me if I could drop him off to get his car from that house. No problem, I was headed out with another friend to go up to golf galaxy, we would just drop him off on the way.
My car at the time was a '97 Ford Ranger...the absolutely most base model you could get. Bench with vinyl, no radio, no power steering, stick shift, single cab...ya know...base. This particular morning happened to be a very rainy one. So, 3 guys across the bench of a ranger down some back country roads. His car was parked in the field along side my friend's house where the party was at the corner of an intersection. This field is bigger than a football field just to give you an idea of just how dumb I was. I approached the field at about 40mph saying the words "I just got new tires on this thing, let's Baja!!" The moment I hit the grass, I realized this was a massive mistake...I was headed straight for his car (a solid 300+ feet out in the field) with absolutely no way of getting this thing to slow down or turn because it was literally pouring rain. We all braced ourselves for the inevitable and slammed into the corner of his bumper. Caved in the trunk and shattered the bumper...luckily avoided damage to the rear 1/4 panel of his '02 Ford ZX2. Knew someone in the biz and got his car fixed for around 800 bucks...and my truck looked like it had hit a pole. To this day, my parents still believe that I slid off the road in the rain and hit a brick entrance-way to a development. Ironically...he has since been rear ended in that car 2 other times and had the bumper replaced both times. Still has that car today. I Tapped that

I have a few stupid moments: 80 in a 55 "safety corridor" zone - 18 years old then in my grandfathers S10, no prior offenses, $300 fine, 2 points on my license dropped from a $2.5k fine and 6 points, my only ticket to this day. Whipped my FR-S around the ex's house in a fury (wanted her the hell out of my car) and was doing 50 around the turn with a local cop right behind me (derp) got off with a "just don't do it again...nice car by the way" I "pimped" out my prior car which was a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan SE. Double din head unit, bluetooth, sat, nav, etc all those goodies and to top it off I had done all the speakers and whatnot and added 2 12" subs each with their own 1,000 watt RMS amp with a custom enclosure (ported) that took up the entire trunk. Holy SPL....was stopped almost 2-3 times a day for it...it was too hysterical to not laugh at so I always got away with it. Just smiled and said it's my only toy. There's probably a few more things I'm forgetting but it's early yet. |

I've gotten a speeding ticket and a few other bullshit tickets (pulled over for running a stop sign nearly a mile or two after supposedly running the stop sign), but that doesn't really compare to how I totaled my last car.
Took a corner on an old road at about 50 over what most people take it, completely slipped my mind that the corner in question was even there as it had been a few years since I had taken this particular road and that corner really isn't apparent until you're right at it. I touched the brakes right before turn in, the car then began to slide in an over steer fashion which surprised me for being a FWD car, I was completely expecting to under steer into the pine tree forest directly in front of me. So I slide through the entire corner but make the foolish mistake of countering too much, eventually the front end catches and sends me through a ditch still at 70~ mph, launching the car airborne. I am now facing a house whilst in mid air taking in the entire scene through the windshield as the car begins to nose down. The front end crashes down and the momentum continues carrying me forward (I'm now upside down, facing the road); The back end then hits a parked 80's model dodge truck, which brings me to a pretty abrupt stop and maybe causes me to go sideways a bit as the car is now nearly perched on the front steps of the house, upside down. I crawl out of the car, check the scene; no one is around, I have minimal injuries (very small scratches and a scuffed chin) but the car is still running full throttle as the throttle cable is most likely stuck. I then crawl back in, pull the key and see the owner of the house run around from the back. He's a volunteer fire fighter, we talk a minute and sort things out while waiting for emergency response. My bags that were in the car are sitting right beside it, they slid right out of the parted glass from the trunk; The clothes are still folded perfectly, the laptop completely intact. All my belongings survived without injury as well. Once the trooper arrives we confirm I entered the corner too hot and that I was also not wearing a seat belt, I saw no point in lying about it. I received a ticket for failure to maintain lane and no seat belt. This is the only law enforcement person that has not been a complete ass to me, I can only chalk it up to him being local and most likely knowing who I was as I had lived in the area for 18 years. Lost a great car, but came out alive and learned a lot; also caused many relatives chest pain that night. The car was a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon.

This was when i first got my BRZ and was used to my automatic.
I Put my BRZ in cruise control at 80mph while my feet are in some awkward position nowhere near the pedals... The whole freeway comes to a quick stop, I throw down my foot to brake but I miss the brake pedal and hit the clutch instead...I got confused and went into the median/shoulder at 80 mph barely missing the stopped car in front of me. I caused the cars behind me to jump into the median as well. Almost caused a little pile up... I'm never touching cruise control again. |

Hmm... the stupidest thing I have done in my car... Well, there's quite a few
![]() I guess the one that hurt the most... Brand new 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt SS turbocharged... within 24 hours, I hit a curb at 45 MPH on the side of the road with the right side of the car. Bent the front rim and the rear hub. Rim = $600 (Forged aluminum), hub = $280, Labor = ~$95 an hour (xx hours). The rear rim had some curb rash, but it wasn't bent or warp. Got it fixed for $50 a few months later. Luckily no body damage (this car had a front lip that is about as low as the BRZ/FR-S). |

If they showed me respect, it wouldve been a much more polite story. There are plenty more stories in which officers and myself have engaged cordially, however the last 2 incidents in which i posted they came up to me, rude, arrogant and pissed off, which does not earn respectful responses. Its convenient how people say "oh their people too". Well, if you wear the badge, you had better act like it. Judges have no tolerance for an officers "bad day" arrest.

Drifting my pickup on muddy dirt roads in Michigan. Crossing a flooding bridge in the same truck, after coming down a mud soaked mountain in an inglorious slip and slide sort of fashion. Had some adventures in that thing...
But the frs is so much better. |

The most stupid thing I've done was when I first got my E30. Only been driving for a month is when i spunned out. It was first rain the day i crashed and also the first time I drove in the rain. I was making a 90 degree left turn which had stop lights. I take that route every morning going to school and that one morning I knew i shouldn't had try to make the yellow light. Stupid me going in the turn too fast I hit the brakes while turning (such a stupid move) causing my car to understeer. I felt that my car was sliding towards the curb and thats when I just turned all the way w/o gassing or braking and was just hoping that the car would come back. The car ended up going back straight or at least I thought it was. Once i saw the car was going in a straight path i started gassing, another mistake I made. The car was already building momentum from recovering the understeer and by gassing more my tail had whipped out causing the car to make a 180 degree and I had hit the center island or the thing that divides the road. My lower control arm was bent badly, the car was never the same.

Put razo knockoff "G-Speed" pedals into my older corolla GTS. The strap that holds them onto the existing pedal broke off, 40 dollars not worth wasting.
