Is this car really worth what it cost?
I know this topic has been discussed as a result of other topics, but I have not really seen it on its own. Please read everything before commenting or voting.
We got a quote for ~$27,000 for a MT Pearl White FR-S with BeSpoke and stock spoiler. (I honestly didn't even know there was a spoiler option.) I don't want the BeSpoke, but this was for a car that was on the way so why not ask. Either way, do you really think this car is worth the $26K-$28K? What do you get? A boxer engine... wheels, which all cars come with... The interior is nice, but the dash looks cheap. Take the knobs for example. They scream cheap! You're not paying for excess power (because there isn't any ). What are you really getting? This is not about RWD, fun aspect, or anything like that. This is purely about what you get in/with the car. I am being completely serious, and would like to know what you guys and girls think. Kev |

Absolutely, completely, 100% worth it. I've owned cars at double the price, and have never been so happy! Awesome car regardless how you try to pick apart the sum of its parts.

If you are buying a car based on the sum of its options and not the overall experience, this might not be your car. If you care about feeling connected to absolutely everything that you tell the car to do in a way that has to be experienced to be believed, SPEND THE 27K and live happily until you get bored and find the next amazing thing to put in your driveway.

I test drove an auto since that's what they had on the lot...but I definitely was talking about the car itself and not the drive "experience".

the interior does not feel cheap. even the knobs everyone points to as being cheap, while probably are the weakest point of the interior, do not feel as cheap as some of the interior pieces in similarly priced cars. the interior of the FRS is awesome.

If you are ignoring how the car drives and worrying about the interior and equipment levels this car may not be for you. Its a cheap, basic sports car. Nothing more, nothing less.

From a technical point of view. Its a bit on the expensive side when considering interior quality, power, practicality etc...
If you want a proper drivers car and compare it to its rivals. The car is definitely worth the cost. No other car in this price range can offer as much smiles per mile as this car! How people would measure value and the cost is a personal thing. But since we are on forum for this car, where there are a lot of owners and enthusiasts of this car I think the results in this poll will be a foregone conclusion! I wont even bother voting.. |

If you have to ask it's obvious it's not worth the money to you. You should be shoppng the Veloster. It'll save you bundles.
