Bought some oil today. Bought the first lot from Prosser Toyota. I previously bought some from there during my first oil change and this nice young girl looked after me, hence why I called them first. $137.60 for 2x 4L tins.
Gave City Toyota a call 5mins later to see what prices they had. Was suprisingly cheaper than them. So I decided to 'dollar-cost-average' the oil purchases and bought more, lol. It was an executive decision. So I got them to put aside 4x for me. $264.20 for 4x 4L tins. Worked out to $69.96 per 4L tin. ![]()

Remove annoying rattle - LED dome light
Remembered to fix up that annoying rattle I have with the replacement LED panel. I ziptied up the small cables and wedged the cables to be sandwiched in between the festoon adaptor and the LED panel so they won't vibrate(loud music mainly)

2nd Oil Change..
Gotta love this Fumoto Valve. Had given a car a nice late night/early morning(4am drive) to get the oil warmed up. Jack up the front of the car, put the plastic oil container underneath, yank out my clear hose and then flip the valve. I'm going to leave the car to drain the oil overnight. 10 minute job.

Installed.. will take pics @ Apartment.. SOON
Quote:
Also with the new fogs, I did NOT have to cut away any of the tabs on the sides of the bulbs so that they fit in the OEM recesses. That's a +ve. I will take a NEW pic of the fogs at my apartment parking bay, same as this pic - but with the NEW WHITE fogs installed. ![]() Here are some comparison pics between the old ones(beige connector) and the new ones(black connector) ![]() ![]() On another note... I hit 10,000km as of tonight. I decided to take a pic for posterity. ![]() ![]() Also, it might be interesting to note. The TRIP METER does not show 10,000.1 or above, it simply rolls over back to 0. So if anyone is planning to schedule their services or oil changes at 10k plus intervals I think it would be better to write it on a sticker under the bonnet/front window instead. (My secondary trip meter has never been "RESET") ![]()

Ok you can ignore the PM I sent you on GT86 now.
This thing has pretty much convinced me on the 17" Weds and a TRD front lip... Should look good on the grey! Awesome mate, keen to hear a sound clip with the exhaust...

Perrin/Cusco Hybrid Install
I must be getting better at this. Took me 40mins to unbolt the crosspipe, take out the cradle brace, swap over the Perrin/Cusco shifter components, reinstall all parts back to correct torque settings.
CUSCO flat washer and PERRIN 'stiffy' part. For anyone curious... The diameter of the CUSCO washer is about 1mm wider than the PERRIN. Or in other words, the diameter of the PERRIN shaft is 1mm LESS THAN the outer diameter of the CUSCO barrel part. ![]() OEM shifter(with cusco part still on it) part on top of the, PERRIN 'stiffy' T part. ![]() Lengthways view ![]() CUSCO 'barrel' on top of the PERRIN 'stiffy'. The cusco is about 1-1.5mm wider than the shaft of the PERRIN. ![]() PERRIN 'stiffy' T Part sitting in the rubber mount. This part sat much more snug than the OEM T part with CUSCO part. ![]() The CUSCO/PERRIN hybrid installed. I noticed this felt very TIGHT. Eager to see how this setup goes compared to the WL KDT926 and the CUSCO shift kit. ![]() Made a tiny start to the HKS Spec-L exhaust install...
