22b hex = 555 decimal. 555 cigarettes sponsored the Subaru rally team. That's how the 22b got its name. It was also a limited run special edition WRX, not a separate model. 22c makes no sense at all. There's no way that's the name.

Interesting history about the 22b name that I didn't know. Thanks for sharing.

Unless I'm really impressed with the interior of the Scion (not likely...) I'll be getting the scooby anyways. There's some rumors flying around now that they're gonna call it the 22c, in honor of the last 2 door WRX, the 22b.
I doubt it. The 'b' is rumoured to be for Bilstein. The 22 was related to the 2.2L motor and/or a code for 555 or something. There was no 22A.

Edit: Already covered. Oops.

If you want some free lawls, check the poll about which version will be faster. Subaru 3:1 .

Poll Subaru FT-86 vs Scion FR-S

If the 3000lbs was anywhere close to the truth it would need to be a hellofa chassis to be worth it IMHO .

Cause they know the Scions will be weighed down with subwoofers, neon and lambo doors?

Actually if you read the article that links to that poll, you'll see that the article is predicting that the Subaru version will be turbocharged. I kind of wish R&T would do their homework a little more before publishing these articles.
