Thanks that's what I thought. There not gonna drill any holes or wash the car just pull it off the truck, remove the plastic and the manager is gonna run it down to BP and fill it up with ultra 93. Said I will pick it up the following day after they get it.

Instead of pestering subaru about my VON again, I emailed my dealer and asked what number I am on the wait list. I am number 2.

Ordered CBS/Limited/Auto Jul 31.

Got my VIN today; car is apparently in port in Seattle. Dealer estimates early January delivery. Mine is the second of the 'second allocation batch' for this dealer.

Two weeks after my order, my dealer told me they got my VON and the car will be in sometime January. Should I bother calling Subaru of America to get more information?

You should have had a VON at the time the order was placed - it's just a sales order number, more or less.

Every time I called SOA, they just said "call your dealer".

SOA told me they will update me as soon as they hear something about my car when i last talked them mid november. Car came in last friday, and SOA still hasnt contacted me.

Finally!!! Dealer just called and provided VIN#! Car should come in last week in December or 1st week of January. I am excited. sad part is i am leaving the country tomorrow for business trip and coming back on 30th of December. I guess i will see my baby on 1st week of January
