Its not that it produces less power, it just shifts the power band. From left to right or vice versa.

I have to admit that I love the sound of the UEL but the sheer noise level bothers me for daily driving. Borla makes a quality product and I have been a fan for many years but I'm not interested in being harrassed by the police on my way to and from work every day.

Can we please get a dB measurement?

It's OVER 9000!!!!!

Lol but seriously, they said it was well over 95. If you don't want to tear up a race track or spend every waking moment trying to justify your noise to the police, this isn't the one for you.

Its funny that even here in Alabama that the only vehicles that can get away with violating city noise ordinances are Mustangs, Camaros and Harley Davidsons.

figures....

Over here it's just the HD's that get away with it.
Very annoying because they are super loud and other vehicles get booked for being quiet by comparison. I think the cops are shit scared of pulling over a gang member.

Because 'Murican.

I catch hell here in Wv for not getting a mustang. And I might have if the roads here weren't so fun, and if you didn't see mustangs at every stop light.

The FR-s is the only car like it on the road except for the BRZ.

The way he made it seem is that there aren't any plans for a road-legal version. As far as CARB legal, I'd think it'd be hard if you were trying to be honest about it. Unless where you go knows that it isn't the OEM equipment, you should be able to sneak it by so long as you don't get a CEL.

The Borla 140496 Cat-back does not move or delete any emissions-related components keeping your vehicle emissions-compliant.

The Borla 17284/17285 Headers do not have restrictive catalytic converters (Borla does not make or sell catalytic converters) and are designed for off-road track vehicles. Deleting, re-locating, or substituting the factory catalytic converter with an aftermarket unit may violate your state laws and make your vehicle non-compliant. Please check with your state laws regarding emissions-related components. Thank you.
