Taken the tax into consideration when purchased, however will be interesting to check final costs when delivered compared to what the TRD spoiler costs from a local Dealer.
I also have a suspicion that I have paid duties already in the shipping costs as I was informed delivery to my door, which normally one would have to go to post office and pay customs to get parcel.

Cool. Nope, I've had something delivered to the office from Canada a couple of weeks ago - they'll call you and let you know how much the duties are. Duties are paid to customs(via UPS) so it's not something you'd be able to pay upfront.

I doubt it would total more than around R600 including tax.

Check the shipping terms on the waybill - UPS and DHL normally use DDU - duty unpaid.

Hey Ryan

Can't wait for the update on the spoiler. It's the same one I wanted, but instead Toyota installed the TRD one. Not too bad though, but I prefer the one with the wings..

and btw. Toyota really fu$ked up the installation. It's not center aligned and the holes in the boot are really big. ^&%^&%. Still have no idea on how to remove the TRD one if I order the new one. But keep us updated!

That is very concerning, you should issue a complaint through to Toyota call centre and demand repair, as they certainly cannot afford bad publicity on the 86.
As soon as the wing arrives and installed will share the damages and pics installed.

nice, I will keep you in mind when I decide to order the boot spoiler...luv those lights!

PS: Talking to Toyota SA regarding a problem installation after 2 months is like talking my bedroom wall. And normal people can't really notice it

Call there JHB toll free customer care line, I assure you someone will contact your dealer and you will get response. I had issue with my Fortuner, phoned in complained and due to negligence I was given a 180000 extended service warranty.

What did Toyota charge for the TRD spoiler, painted and fitted?

How are you judging the center alignment?...are you looking at the ends to see if the space remaining is equal on each side ?

Here is mine.
It was done by Supreme Auto. Barloworld Menlyn sends all their body work to them.
The color is spot on and nicely fitted.
