I am still waiting on my exhaust i ordered last month, they delayed the exhaust and wont be here till the end of the month, directly from Borla themselves.

I have my reservations about the heat that will be emitted in the area where it's not designed to, yes the resonator used to be close by but this is a much bigger can, I'd like to see a laser pyrometer shot at it to see temperatures. For rear passenger they will feel the heat at their feet possibly.

No question this thing sounds fantastic outside the car, but without good quality sound clips from inside it's hard to make any kind of an educated purchase decision...

How is the drone with this exhaust? Can you install heat shielding above the muffler to reduce the issue / non-issue with the heat?

There is no cabin resonance issues with our cat-back exhaust. I just drove an FR-S with our cat-back today with 800+ miles and it sounds terrific cruising at 1700-2k rpm. Don't forget a factory muffler is positioned similar to our (single multi-core) muffler. Thanks for your interest in Borla!

Excellent, I know you've done a great job eliminating drone in the Mustang exhausts. Glad to hear it carries over to this exhaust as well. Looks like I know what I'll be buying when I get my FR-S.

Just an update but i absolutely love this exhaust. Sounds great under throttle, but is quiet during highway driving with no drone(dare i say almost stock). Even my brother in-law, who is picky on exhausts, actually loves it. Definitely worth it to me.

In another thread I saw it mentioned that the Borla exhaust muffler reduces ground clearance of the car with the muffler being 2" closer to the road than stock.

Would anyone have photos (preferrably from the side) that may show the difference between stock and borla?

I had been sold on this exhaust until i read that, and as this car will be a daily driver and used in the canuck winters clearance is an issue. If i was planning on leaving the car at stock ride height it would be a null issue, but I do want to drop the car mildly (1").
