Yeah, I have a similar list myself for STX. Everytime I look at it and the cost, I think to myself, staying in RTR with my BRZ wouldn't be the worst thing in the world

Well, Starting to gather some more things for the winter.
-LCA Bushings
-Rear Lateral links
-Crossmember bushings
-Engine and Tranny mounts

Holding off on a Tune and Exhaust components til more become available to be able to have a better choice. I am not saying that whats available right now is not good. I am just not convinced they are the best for my application until more stuff becomes available..

Working on a 2nd set of rims and tires but waiting til after SEMA to find out whats available..
It looks as though theres alot of folks jumping into the STX Fray. which is good. I hope its at least competitive.

i'm finding that the local autocrosses put me in between gears,

i'm thinking of running 16X8/9 with a downsized tire so i can use 2nd with better efficiency

your thoughts?

This is what I did with the CSP miata, ran 13's with a short tire so I could use 2nd on smaller local lots.

You are between 2nd and 3rd, or 1st and 2nd?

Two scenarios I see here. If all you are going to run is local and you know you need the gear advantage, go for it. If you will be running any National level events I would stick with the 17's or if you afford both sets of race based wheels and tires go for that. If you are doing National level stuff I can promise you will want all of second gear and possibly have to consider a third gear shift vs. Banging the rev limiter in second every once in awhile.

Spend the same money on a tune and get more mph in 1st gear? Harder on the engine (in theory), but probably just as fast - and a lot more fun around town.

Grounding mod just ensures there is enough Grounding over stock and makes for it cleaner with less interference so all the electronics Work to their potential..including the ECU.. Its and old school mod...But it doesn't hurt..$2.50 Neg Battery cables from Wally world does the trick..and the come in various lengths..
