Don't copy other peoples' stuff. It never comes out as good as you want, and it's just uncool.

Does anybody have the pic that was posted a few weeks ago that was on instagram? It had front fenders similar to the Rocket Bunny and the creator of it and somebody from Greddy i think were tagged in it. It was a left rear quarter picture and i can't find it anywhere now.

it's refreshing to see people to say they support the original over knockoffs, but money talks. Saying you support the product but never have any intention of buying it is no different from buying a replica.
it's not the manufacturing cost that's high, but his capital investment is large and only so many kits can be produced a year, therefore you have to factor that into the cost of the kit. no one wants to work hard for a loss |

Well, maybe 'cause the FR-S costs 10x as much as your average 240SX. Granted there are people going from cars like 240's to this, but at least there shouldn't be as many 18-yr-olds buying them because they simply can't afford them.

Sadly, I guess it was me hoping the crowd doesn't turn into what the 240sx has become. Fucking hipsters have taken over by the masses, and cutting corners is the norm. I hope that doesn't happen around here anytime soon, but I'm sure it will be inevitable. They have already started ruining 350z's ever since they got into the $10k ranges. |

Eventually like all used car markets, there will be replicas made. It simply cannot be stopped. There are many cases where even the most expensive kit does not fit as well.
Take the s2000 market for example.(AMUSE R1 Front Bumper) Very popular. Amuse (2200) Bought and sold Shine (890) Extreme Dimension (399) Motorklasse (1100) currently own People rated the fitment on these units. I have had the best experience with the Motorklasse Bumper. Same design just fits better than Amuse. Extreme Dimensions being the crappiest fitment of them all. Shine was good but not great. You guys say these JDM companies made 10~15 off a single mold. I find that hard to believe. I believe its there just justify the market that its in. To mark the products up accordingly. In addition, I have very little respect for JDM giants like HKS, Greddy, Blitz, and Apexi. They market their products as JDM with exception to a few top tier items(Greddy Trust and HKS Kansai). Its made elsewhere (Korea, Taiwan...) |
