The wide open lower grille and fog light enclosure seem to be Toyota's recurring theme also on the 2012 Yaris SE which btw is a redesign and comes with a sport front bumper, rear diffuser (both seamlessly integrated, not a tacked on lip kit), and sport-tuned suspension STOCK).

The back half of the new Camaros always remind me of the FR-S.

Thinking the fender flares/rear quarters.

Yeah I see it! WTF Toyota! What ever happened to independent designs and product individuality!?!

Acura is the same theme going on with the RL, TL, TSX, ZDX, MDX and RDX with that ugly middle grille. Scroll over each model and you can see the trend.

Dunno about you guys... but the FR-S's front looks similar to the Porche's Panamera than the Yaris or Camery to me.

Don't know if you guys see it like I do though.

I love this thread, it's uncovering so many automotive design conspiracies.

Is it just me or are these two almost identical?

It's called building brand identity and seems to be all the range in the industry.

Of course it's not that big a deal when the design looks good.....

Who reckons Toyota has taken styling cues from the K-1 Roadster??

The headlights from the frs/ft86 has the same profile-ish as the K-1 not to mentioned the same front grill shape. Perhaps even the front fender profiles as well? You decide....

Though I think the better question remains, did Toyota use FR-S parts in the Camry?
