For me, i got 7.9% which is pretty damn good considering it didnt have a credit history at all. I heard the lowest rate someone financed for was around 6% |

Thats very debatable.
Like everything in Australia, we pay for increased margins on everything without justification as to why. Example. Pair of jeans in the states, $60, in Australia, $110 for the exact same product. We have been priced gouged for a while too long, and its only now prices and coming inline with the rest of the world. |

Some of it has to do with taxes, tariffs, and overhead, and some has to do with competitive forces.
The interest rates we'll see in the US are largely determined by what the bank can borrow money for from the Fed. Considering that number is practically zero, our interest rates are low. Long term that's not sustainable as it leads to inflation. |

I got 2.7% on 3 year financing, and I was automatically approved without a full credit check. But then again my credit is very good.

Yes, short term financing will yield better rates, however most of these posted rates are 48+ months (something that would be very hard to get in Canada on these cars).

Just applied today through University Credit Union and as a member with Direct Deposit, got 1.5%. Much lower than anywhere that I've applied with. Gotta love Credit Unions!
