Not a fan of letter models in general but.. :shrug:

It's no better or worse than others imo.

It'll come down to interior quality for me I think. I think all the FT86 concepts shown have been pretty ugly, but that's not what draws me to cars anyways.

I hate the scion pure pricing model, and am friends with local Subaru dealership people so the Subaru version is still my likely target...

I hope it's not another glass shell on display, perhasp it will be like the Ft86 they are gonna show a MKI concept this show. I mean come on throw us a bone for goodness sakes.

I'm hoping its more than that, but I have a feeling it won't be. A "technology display" I'm not too sure on that one, makes it seems like its going to be another glass case and showing off all the drivetrain and engineering behind it

I hope this is just the prototype name. I really liked the 2000RS name that was floating around if they are going to use an alphanumeric name.

Perfect name, IMO. "Subaru" is the Japanese word for the Pleiades, a star cluster (see Subi logo) that holds significant meaning in dozens of cultures. Definition #1 and #3 portrays the power and success that the brand hopes to generate with RWD coupe entry that --according to Subaru-- will blow the competition away.

Now look at the letters, but as an acronym.

Be are(our) apex

As if it could be any less subtle.

It's a sexual innuendo.

i think if it was BR-Z, everybody wouldn't be crying like babies. i base that opinion on the fact that we aren't calling the FR-S "the Friss" and simply just the F.R.S

Hm... it's not like this is first time thy made letters only car.
WRX - A lot of WRX owner calling their car Rex, but actual Subaru Rex don't even have boxer engine.
SVX - Suvix?

R2 - Where's D2
XT
FF-1

Recent weird (imo) name is Dex

Again, name is minor thing to worry bout
