Once they get here (probably later next month) I'll let you guys know for sure if it all works together. Guinea Pig powers... activate!
Where did you order the seat and rails from? I'm probably going to do the same as well.

UPDATE: Okay, my Bride Stradia II and TRD seat rails finally arrived today! And I can confirm with 100% certainty that the TRD sports seat base & sliders bolt up directly to the Bride Stradia II; so I am now 99.9% certain the TRD seats are just reupholstered Brides.

Here's the documentation that came with my TRD sports seat rails...

... and here's a picture of the bottom of those same rails. "Bride Super Seat" for "type LH (left-hand) TRD".

So there you have it! If you want TRD seats, but not for TRD price, the Bride Stradia II or Stradia II Sport will fit perfectly.

Edit: I have NO idea why that second picture is upside down. I've done everything I can think of to fix it, and it keeps showing up that way. Huh... sorry!
Holy Sh!t!!!!! If I may ask, how much did you fork it out?

Well, let's put it this way: I'll be switching to an automatic, because I no longer have the leg to operate a clutch with, and can't shift and steer with only one arm. Hope my kids never need a kidney from me. LOL...

Nah, it was expensive, but not end-of-the-world so. About $1800 for the Stradia II w/ black carbon fiber back (スーパーアラミド) and aluminum frame; pretty much top of the line for Bride, and only weighs 12kg. The TRD rails, side-airbag canceler, and sound-changers together were another $320.

I'll post pics tomorrow.

Dumb question, and I have a feeling I already know the answer, but $1800 was for one seat, not both right?

Yup. That, and the crazy passenger-detecting electronics on the right-side seat, are why I will only have one in my ride for the foreseeable future.

What's scary is there are seats out there that cost even more: the aforementioned TRD seats (same design) cost a slightly more right now, and some Recarro Sportster CS's (even WITHOUT the side airbag option) costs WAY more!

Expensive, yes... but I've LUSTED after these seats since they came out with the Gias version years ago, and this is the first car I could justify them for. Merry Christmas to me, merry Christmas to me...

Can you take a picture of the side airbag canceller? Also is there a specific part number for that piece?

I can certainly try. I saw some website the other day where TRD is selling them separately, and they weren't too expensive. I think it was something like ¥2000, $30... somewhere in that range. If I stumble across it again, I'll share the link.

Wow that would be awesome if you could find that link. I remember I exchanged PMs with you and I decided i'll end up going with a bucket seat. Maybe down the road i'll get an adjustable for the passenger seat.

My AE86 had a Bride Seat, so my FT86 will have to have one too.
