Those are Davin's pants, though I didn't know that at first. I awkwardly kept them since I didn't want to place them on someone else's car in misplaced retaliation. I brought them home, only to throw them away in the outside trash bin. The next morning I awoke to a text: "I hope you didn't throw my pants away. " My brain was all, "Effffff!!!!" Yet, my reply was, "Of course not!" hahahaha Now they're in my trunk, ready to meet their wearer.

Wonderfully! Sometimes I put it in VSC Sport, but only when it's not bumper-to-bumper traffic. Otherwise I've just kept everything on. The stability control kicks in any time the car tries to do anything funny. I went for a drive in the snow last night, going up some steep inclines in the mountains at higher altitudes. I was trying to keep turn-in speed without losing traction and the stability control kicking on. I got pretty good after a while.

It honestly feels a lot like my previous AWD Subaru vehicles once it gets up to speed. Acceleration is sorely lacking, of course, but once it's cruising, it inspires nothing but confidence.

It isn't crazy about lugging uphill, but it did fine. Downhill is where it's at!

BTW, Luke, what is your car lowered on? I asked in the Crystal Black Silica compilation thread, but I guess you haven't returned there or missed my question. I could've just PM'd you, but I think it's more fun this way. haha

This snow reminds me that I need to get on top of getting the JDM plastic under panels ASAP.

^You keep mentioning the under panels but IMHO I would avoid putting them on until the spring. The underside of the car is going to get caked in road debris either way thanks to winter (I'm in Canada - get the same crap) at least without the panels the debris could be power washed away easily and have a chance of falling back off. If you run the panels the debris with inevitably work its way in between the panel and floor of your vehicle. There is no better way to chance rust starting then to have winter snow/salt/sand packed in between metal chassis and plastic panels.

I've had custom panelling made for the underbody of my car that fit ridiculously flush. I drove it once through a very minor snow storm when moving my car between storage locations. Once I got the car to its new location I proceeded to pull all the under panelling and it had crap in various spots where there were no visible gaps. I'd avoid driving a car with full panelling in winter if I had the choice.

You really want to bulletproof the under carriage = truck bedliner + POR 51(chassis saver).. tries tested and true method for dealing with crap road conditions.

PS - it must be nice to know your one of maybe the only black BRZ's in your entire state. Wonder how many BRZ's are located that close to the N. Pole?

Thanks for the input! I will definitely take it under serious advisement. I don't drive anywhere with salt, but I do get lots of little rock gravel.

Apparently a member on NASIOC/AKIC saw a black BRZ being towed behind a U-Haul on it's way into the mainland of Alaska. I plan on STI-ing mine out and tracking the heck out of it, though. Highly doubtful people will get us confused (plus I embrace chrome in defiance of those that abhor it, like Jive Turkey).

I'm sorry, homie! I'm not excited to see the supposed black BRZ that's on its way up here, although it should be here by now. I doubt it's being driven in the winter like mine, so come Spring/Summer, I won't be alone.
