The kit is Rocket Bunny, correct? The work may have been done by Lux Motion, but that kit has been on many different FR-S/GT-86 at this point and I've grown weary of it, no mater how it's disguised. It doesn't help that I've NEVER been a fan of riveted body parts, flares and such. If I were going to paint them I'd overlay them or cover the rivets after they were tacked on, then paint the whole car.

Even then, I don't care for the openings that expose the wheels (or "show off", if that's how one chooses to view it, which isn't incorrect).

Couple of posts above mine, Origin is using the exact same kit. See what I mean? It's fairly redundant and uninspiring at this point.

Incorrect. It is a similar kit, by lux motion.

I guess I'm not seeing what you're seeing. If you just focus on the 8 parts of the kit, it's the same kit that RB started that Lux Motion is now using. It's not like we can call these "Universal Widebody Kits". Their source is RB, no matter how they disguise or label them.

Man, the stuff that debuted at SEMA is the most riced-out garbage ever. Between tacked-on looking front lips to the fugly widebody kit from "Asuka," the US companies have really failed here.

However, the cars from the Scion challenge turned out pretty nice for the most part; the Evasive car is very impressive, as is the widebody kit designed by Jon Sibal.

It's a copycat but it is different.. They are a vendor here and have a thread somewhere.

yeeeeah, Lux and Rocket Bunny are not the same. Similar. But not the same.

Lux's overs go much lower on the bumper and the RB seems a bit smoother in the arches.

I wasn't necessarily implying that they're the exact same. However, 6 inches of extra plastic from Lux Motion does not make it unique enough, in my eyes, to be considered ALL NEW or wholly different. That's all I was getting at. Pretty much thought I was stating the obvious, but I guess it wasn't obvious enough that no matter who borrows from that kit, adds or subtracts inches of plastic and repaints it, it's still a played-out kit.

I do appreciate the picture comparison, nix. I think I've detracted from this thread long enough... hahaha

yes i have been waiting for the Tommy Kaira spoiler ever since it was in the rendering stage, good to know it still looks like it! Now... how do i order..?
