I figured the message was something like "so you thought Toyota only makes boring cars anymore? Well, this one is so cool it'll cost you your marriage just as quick as any Ferrari!"

Instead of another +1 for not getting married, I'm just gonna say this:

Don't marry a crazy bitch, make sure anyone you do marry understands (or at least can deal with) your obsession, and don't make big financial decisions without going over them with the person you share finances with.

That said, my ex [girlfriend] would have straight up murdered me if I had bought my car when we were still together.

If a woman is asserting her dominance over your personal finances pre-wedding ring to a high degree, don't expect that to get better when you're married.

As a woman, I find it sad when women just don't appreciate cars like this. I think this is why i don't have any female friends - they just don't get it. Every lunch break i go outside to admire my 86 and my friends, even the men, are like.. what are you doing? :happy0180: and I've actually sold a lot of my useless 'girl crap' like bags and shoes so that i can pay for mods. My boyfriend just rolls his eyes everytime he sees me carrying ten new car magazines when i come home.
I'm new to this forum but have been reading comments for a long time now and constantly planning on what to add to it next. I've been told all this is weird for a girl but i don't care. I love my 86

That dude should wait for his wife to buy a new washer/dryer and then throw a hissy fit and take a bat to it.

I was explaining this logic to my co-workers yesterday. Jewelry in general is bullshit and do nothing for you other than just hang from your body. I would rather spend money on fun!

Just have to make sure to marry the right woman. They're out there. My fiancee was pushing me to buy a Porsche Cayman S over my FR-S

... of course she's crazy in other ways though, can't win them all

Definitely work. But you always have to work.

Been married a bit over a year now, got my wife pregnant back in May, we bought a GMC Terrain in June (paid cash), found out she was pregnant in July, and bought (financed this time) the FR-S at the end of August. I definitely found a keeper

Not to say your statement totally falls flat, but just saying that there are women out there who get their man's obsessions/loves, and will be happy share them.

For a guy whos signature and avatar is almost always 100% women, you sure are jaded. We need to get you a girlfriend, dude.

My woman would yell at me for buying her a huge engagement ring well before she'd yell at me for buying the BRZ. She doesn't like jewelry because it doesn't really serve a purpose.

Needless to say, she is definitely getting a ring soon.

I'm a single guy, but if I was married... I think I would have trouble letting my wife drive it. All the more reason to not teach her how to drive a stick. :P
