The main reason I wanted a membership is that on a dedicated (aka groomed) racetrack there's less chance of messing my car up because of uneven surfaces, gravel, dirt, etc. i wanted to play at the LM Open House but seeing that ditch and thinking about how my suspension is set right now I'd eat the pavement with my front end at the worst, best case is I make it through the turn but it would be like jumping the damn thing. The SCCA event at firebird could be fun, I'm just a little worried about making an ass out of myself in front of that group

I spent most of Friday night changing out engine, transmission and diff oil. I would definitely recommend getting the factory oil and all of the break-in metal out of there. Personally, I used Motul 8100 X-cess in the engine, MT-90 in the transmission, and Redline 75W-90 (GL5) in the diff. As @gmookher has stated elsewhere, MT-90 doesn't seem to make the transmission much smoother when it's cold. I have noticed that it feels nicer when warmed up, but the improvement doesn't seem to be as dramatic as MT-90 in a Miata gearbox. I'll probably get an oil analysis in a few thousand miles and make a decision about my next round of oil then. I'm debating between Pentosin and Motul Gear 300. The Motul would be nice because I could use the same stuff in the transmission and diff and only need 4 liters per change. Motul claims it's safe in our transmissions, I'm just not sure if I believe them. Time to go dive into the BITOG forums again! |

Well there you go a little bit of smoked and painted tail lights. I will get daytime pics as well so you can see the metallic pearl and how much they are darkened. Whatcha all think |

As for the cost of the LCAs, I paid $575 for the AP ones. I wanted them since you can adjust them without unbolting them from the subframe. There's a few other brands of course but the only other one I would consider is Whiteline's, because gold is sexy. The Cusco and GTSPEC arms just look cheesy because they are stamped steel not machined aluminum like the AP part. |

I have a friend who destroyed his S2000 on that track, its a fairly new facility, but I wouldn't say you have less of a chance of damaging your car because of it. |
