stock btw.

Hey everyone, time for me to update.

I've installed the aFe Takeda system on my car. No bogging or jerking. I'll be doing a head to head comparison this week with dynos and graphs and other pretty statistical things between the AIRAID and the aFe system. Stay tuned!

I got my injen intake 2 days ago and im completly stock and as soon as i drove off it started bogging but mostly around 4000 rpm!! I have 9000 kms on odo and never had a problem or a cel!! I can hardly accelerate if i go past 15-20% throttle. I took it off to make sure everything was well installed and i noticed that the welds where the map goes are sticking out on the inside of intake not much but but enough so you can see and feel it! I was wondering if people that had the bog issue cheked to see if it was all nice and smooth in there intake!! Im gonna polish it tomorow and remove the small bumps to see if it changes anything i will keep you posted! I cant imagine a bump right beside the map would be too much of a good thing! I also tried the above steps many ecu resets and nothing seems to work! If anyone has some insight on this it would be greatly appreciated!!

Yea, apparently some cars don't like certain intakes.

Yep, my car had bogging with both the AIRAID and the AFe/Takeda.

An ECUTek tune fixed both of em for me.

Yip, mine had it with AIRAID, but not Takeda. I'm going to be testing another shortly

I'm pretty sad at the lack of good engineering being displayed for intakes on our car here.

People are being sold a product that is supposed to be "bolt-on" horsepower but instead a massive number of people have to tune their car to run them at all.

That's grossly unacceptable.

I completely agree, and how some have handled it is atrocious. Blaming other vendors, deleting posts, denial, etc.

But in such a transparent community, everything becomes clear and those practices won't last very long.

I had installed an Injen intake and for the first week had no issues, then i started experiencing some bogging at low RPMs. I refitted the stock intake and all is well. My car is not tuned, but has Motiv Concepts Test Pipe and Fujitsubo exhaust, but these are not effecting the car with the stock intake.

Waiting to see if there are any solutions…
