Sorry for the delay in replying: 57' MGA, Datsun 2000, Triumph TR4 IRS, couple Spitfires, Prelude, Legend coupe, 4 MG TDs, couple MG TFs, 1935 MG PA, Austin Healey 3000, 2002 series BMW, Fiat 124. Must admit I was brokering vintage MGs for a couple of years so that boosted my numbers.

At 70 there is a very good chance that I am the oldest FRS/BRZ owner. I am a retired military weapon systems engineer.
So why would a 70 year old guy want an FRS? Well I have spent the last 30 years looking for an acceptible replacement for my Datsun 510 before becoming aware of the FT-86 several years ago.
Think about it, when was the last time that any manufacturer built a small car (under 3000 lbs) that seats 4 (even if 2 of them are small kids) with a front mounted 4 cyl engine and REAR wheel drive?

LOL. For the same reason a 78 year old would want one. Hang in there "kid"!

No worries and thanks! Had I known you were going to be at the norcal meet last weekend, I would have been less hesitant to participate :P You owned the cars I dreamed about as a preteen - in particular there was a little Triumph Spitfire zipping around the neighborhood with a for sale sign in the window that I was "saving up" for. lol

Well, it was way too long ago, and that's exactly what gets some of us so excited about this car :happy0180:

You can never be too old to enjoy the art of driving. Good to see older people driving this car. Better than having a bunch of spoiled teenagers driving it.

Oh don't worry, there are spoiled teenagers driving it too. And spoiled young adults...

Although part of me wonders if the wait times are actually keeping most of the spoiled teenagers from getting this car because of their need for instant gratification. They can't get the car right away so they move on to something else? Just curious.

I'm 27 with a live-in girlfriend. Electrical engineer working in Locomotive Control Systems.
