Any possibility I could ask the dealer to postpone compliance til January..?
From what I gathered yesterday, Mitsubishi can do it but I'm not sure if Toyota can or would - regardless, I simply can't see the 86 devalue to that extent over the fact of one month - Japan's wait time is now supposedly 3 years!

If the Dealer says pre-Christmas the car will be in Australia maybe 10 days or so before that - so I'd say no, sorry

My tracking updated today, car's now on the boat. Estimated Pickup still showing as 5/12

I'm pretty sure Panman know's what he's talking about with regard to the compliance plate being fitted at the Subaru factory , seeing as he has an example sitting in his garage

It's been said a few times in this thread, and I can confirm personally, compliance plate is fitted at factory.
We agree to differ! Not so from what I am told both yesterday and today

For 86 it is the responsibility of FHI (manufacturer) and Subaru Australia (the importer), but I haven't confirmed exactly where it gets installed.

I assume you have seen Altona production?
Mine was built end August, delivered 21 sept. August compliance plate.

Thanks, that answers that - 'straight from the horses mouth!'

Obviously Mitsubishi does it different but doesn't answer why my '08 Levin had two different months showing

Thanks again

Apologies and you are TOTALLY correct, I spoke with TMCA and the 86 differs from other models, confirming it IS attached in Japan thru FHI

It would appear quite a few at TMCA and also Dealers are not aware of this

Thanks again JP and Panman

Mine is 'planned production December', so hoping it updates to 'Scheduled for Production' some time next week - seems around 21-22-23 of each month that happens

Mine's still at 'Planned for Production Decemeber' but I'm told this being A10 status there should now be no delays. This is not my orginal order, but one I took over after the customer managed to get what was an 'extra' car for the Dealership

So, today just fooling around on PPQ [Personalised Plates Qld] and what should be available?

86BXR

I couldn't resist, seeing Toyota now just call it the '86' and not 'FT86'

Anyone else in Q, the plate '86BOX' was also still available this morning at $445

My Estimated Pick Up date got pushed back twice since My car gone into production. It is now 7 days later than the original date in the web tracking. I guess its due to port congestion?
