Anyone out here in the Jacksonville area? I've only seen one on base and none in town.

I may be game on the 18th run. Hopefully I don't have anything jump on my schedule in the meantime, but I'll throw in my tentative okay.

Funny running so many different directions @ Cars & Coffee yesterday! Hopefully next month will be smoother... if I do find myself awake and willing to brave the cold! heh

Planned Upgrades?

Just curious to see what upgrades that you guys plan on doing to your cars (if any).

I am going to keep my mods mild until the warranty runs out. As of right now I would like to do the following upgrades in no particular order:

  • Swap wheels and tires
  • Replace stock exhaust with possibly Greddy Evo3 cat-back system
  • Replace stock air intake with a more free flowing system (going to do more research to make sure it is worth the investment)
  • Tint the windows (just enough to reduce glare)
  • Coilover suspension (lol when I win the lotto)
By the time I am able to afford to do everything that I would like to do, there might be a bit more aftermarket love for our car.

I'm in a local club, Tarheel Sports car club, www.thscc.com that holds autocrosses roughly centered in this area. Unfortunatly, none of the sites we have is "close" to Raleigh. It's tough to find a place that is willing to let you run events due to liability concerns these days. We are having a just for fun, season wrap up event in Danville VA on Dec 2nd.

A group centered in the Greensboro area, Triad sports car club, www.auto-x.com is also having an event in Danville VA on Nov 18th.

I'll be at the Tarheel event on Dec 2nd but I'm working on the 18th so I won't make that one.

I'm part of NCR-SCCA. Also not close to Raleigh. About 2hrs to most sights. Love the cherry point site.

I will be at the THSCC event as well. Seems former THSCC presidents gravitate towards the BRZ

Just did the Croftgate water-less thing to my car. Thanks to EvoXDD. It's seems to have worked pretty good. My only recommendation would be to have the car clay-bared before starting this kit. This stuff isn't very good at getting off the dead bugs, but once on, I think it will work very good at keeping the guts at bay. The blue stuff really lets the car shine.
