The BRZ is in storage for the winter, the truck is the winter king for me. It needs new tires but Kaizen has ordered them for me. 265/70 R16 Firestone Destination AT's on the way!

Well we only had a couple inches last night, and most didn't stick to the roads. There were a couple patches of slush and the car stuck to the road. This at least buys me time until I can get snows on, I like to wait until the last minute

You and me both. I was putting mine on as the snow was coming down where I live.

Just the stock tires... wasn't as prepared as I should have. I have very little confidence in them, however the drifts were very predictable and controllable! Talk about balance! I felt my back end slip and adjusted accordingly, nice and slow. I'll definitely be getting snow tires really soon.

Well it's good to know the stock tires were not a complete disaster.

It felt pretty solid as long as I was going under 30 at a constant speed and doing steady turns, surprisingly driveable. If I really needed to get somewhere, I don't think I would have a problem with the stock tires... knock on wood.

it's the "smart play" because the "softer compound' in the snows will wear at a faster rate on hard, bare, asphalt.

hoping the "all-seasons" will get me through if i get "caught" in the nasties!

keeping your speed down on the stocks is the right thing to do!.it's good to know they handle half decently at slower speeds

that's why I was driving my beater this week before I get my snow tires onto the BRZ this saturday... not gonna take that risk when I saw the forecast of snow/sleet and < 40 F.

I'd say get them sooner if I were you...

I was ill prepared myself. Revere wasn't too bad, but I did et caught in some slushy snow hills. No problem here with traction on. Few slips, but better than I expected. I do wish I had an LSD on my previous car! You can really feel the difference more than I anticipated. Very balanced indeed.
