I convinced him to not buy the FR-S while he was actually in the process of getting one. So he went off and bought a BMW 3-series instead.
Raging apocalypse averted. He would have either created a monster or crashed the frs.

Somehow get his car to sit unlocked in a bad neighborhood. It being stolen in the middle of the night is a more humane end. #TextbookBigotry

I'm sure someone else was thinking this, but, am I the only one who didn't know what "Donk" was?

Wouldn't be surprised if more didn't.

Take a drive through Florida, or hell even Georgia or other states along the east coast. When you spot a cutlass or hell, any 4 door sedan / SUV that's riding about as high as an F350 with wheels bigger than that of said F350, you have found yourself a Donk'd out ride.

I don't think I've seen any past Kentucky though, or much out west when I've been.

30's or go home.

The silliest thing I saw once I moved up to Atlanta was all these donk'd cars with candy brands and shit vinyl'd on or painted on. Damn skittles car sitting on 26's rattling like it's about to fall apart because it's a $1000 car with $2000 worth of sound in it.

-----------
Glad the crisis was averted however, though I'm sure it WILL happen at some point.

I'm from California and didn't know what donk was. I moved to the Midwest earlier this year and went on a few biz trips to the east coast and Chicago and noticed this theme on many cars on the road (unlike the West coast, this kind of customization seemed more predominant than lowered cars). I didn't know it had a name til I randomly came across the term on the internet sometime this year.

Show him pics of cars lowered nicely on expensive, flush-fitting JDM wheels.

"Donk" is really a disambiguation, it refers to a specific type of Chevrolet. The generalized term for this style of is "Hi-Riser".

"Most hi-riser enthusiasts agree that a "donk" traditionally is a 1971 to 1976 Impala. They were given this name because the "Impala" symbol was referred to as a "donkey" by owners or "donk" for short. To complement the sloping rear, the suspension of donks are frequently higher in the front end than the rear, resulting in a nose-up stance."

Donk or Hellaflush/Stanced. Either way it ruins the essence of what the car was engineered to do.

But it is his car so let him do what he wants.

(And then point and laugh!)
