People are forgetting that the TRD supercharger for the tundra added 123HP and 149tq. The Tundra went from 381hp to 504hp and 401tq to 550tq. There is a chance that the TRD supercharger for the FRS might make a good amount of power.

While that sounds like a big gain, it's only 31.5%. A 31.5% gain for our car would be:

200hp --> 262hp

I sure hope it's bigger than this

"Just to set the record straight, the Sprintex/Bullet supercharger has nothing to do with the TRD Supercharger that is being developed to support the KSR World Challenge effort. What is pictured above is simply a group of motorsports enthusiast that share a common goal of excitement in the automotive industry. We respect the Sprintex organization and wish them the best of luck but, again, the TRD program is in no way affiliated with Sprintex, Bullet, or Innovate Motorsports. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused to the great fans and supporters of the FR-S/FT86 community. "

Of course what ever numbers they give will be with a horrible factory tune and the stock exhaust/header.

Im sure with a good aftermarket tune and header/exhaust itll put down some solid numbers. Price is the main problem with vortech having a pretty good price point so far.

We won't be too pushy, but we would absolutely love it if the Stout family dropped in to keep FT86Club updated on their developments. :happy0180:

Will do guys, it is a flurry of activity over here as we try to get everything done in time for the first event in March. Seems like plenty of time but trust me it's anything but.
As we make progress we'll get you some updated info.
Feel free to check out www.robertstoutracing.com or like him on facebook as we tend to update those a bit more frequently.
Thanks for your interest and support

TRD Supercharger: Rumored HP gains?

Hey guys - I saw on a blog that TRD is developing their own supercharger for the FR-S.

Quote:
According to Car and Driver, TRD is close to coming up with a supercharger to fit to the car's 2.0-liter flat-four engine in order to squeeze out a little more performance. Currently, the FR-S produces 200 horsepower, but there's no guessing how much a supercharger could improve this figure.

http://www.autoblog.com/2012/11/05/s...-kit-from-trd/
Just curious.. how much HP do you guys think the TRD supercharger will add? 60 or so?

There is at least two main threads on this. Everybody is expecting 20-40 for a ton of money. Worth is based on how bad you want to keep your warrantee. There are always aftermarket pulleys though.

I'm guessing +30HP and it costing ~$6k, probably get a 12k mile warranty

I'm hoping some more developments come from the Innovative Motorsports Kit.
