Wow - I can't believe what all you guys put up with. You all are much more patient than I ever would be. I especially love how the problem is always on the customer, never on John. There's no doubt John has been busting his butt, but c'mon...it's ridiculous how much blame he shifts onto you guys.

I've been following every post, to see if things are getting better before I purchase a tune. But, there never seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel. With other great tuners on this forum, I just can't see myself using this tune. Too many variables to keep track of. Do I have a tune that could brick my ECU? Am I supposed to call John? or email? or fill out the form? or PM? or post on this thread? ...crap, I pissed off John - no tune for me. ...crap, I filled out the form twice, John will now ignore me. ...crap, I missed John's call after waiting by the phone for 6hrs.

I feel for all of you, but there is NO reason any of you guys should be "apologizing" to John. You are the consumer. You're doing the best you can to follow his process. This is the most ridiculous process I have ever witnessed, trying to purchase and get a product.

It's not a process - you buy and get a tune. You want a update or have a issue, you fill the form out.

Your car is on fire call me, once.

Pretty simple to me

It is kind of a process. I did receive my kit back in September and still don't have a working tune for my car...

This is where I normally say - you should fill out the form.

Not have any tune for over a month is more of a burning issue and do not understand why your not calling me. I'm busy, but not busy enough where you shouldn't have a tune.

I most likely have a wrong email address for you. Email your phone number and ill call you when I'm off my call

John

I have filled out the form, twice. The second time was to send you correct information (as per request) because my dongle ID was entered in wrong the first time. You fixed my license issue a few weeks ago and got a tune sent to me, but the tune was not configured to my car. I emailed you back (by replying to the same email you sent to me, so it should not have gotten spam filtered) with a screen capture of the error, and a guess that the tune was configured to my incorrect dongle ID.

I probably emailed you one more time since then but decided to hold off because on the forums you said you were busy and working your way down through the emails and forms (and you were away at SEMA for a few days as well)

I will email you again ASAP with the same screen caps I emailed you with earlier so you can see the error code and compile a new tune for me. I can't take personal calls at work, but I can easily respond to emails. I am sure we can figure it out through this method.

Thanks for getting back to me.

No problem John, will sit tight then and not fill out the form.

Edit: You advised above to call if no tune within a month, I'm past that point so hopefully I can give you a call today.

Telling everyone to call me doesn't work - but from time to time ill say call me if you have a burning issue.

Calling me 10 fucking times in 1hr pisses me off and will 100% make me call you last. It my rule, you blow up my phone I don't call you back for a day. Only 3 guys on here have ever done this and it wasn't for anything important.

Filling out the form more than once creates unnecessary work for me - I understand the form doesn't give any all confirmation so it can cause doubt that your even in the form , but please just fill it out once.

I don't know what else to say.

John
No offense John but this post is a great example of why some of us are frustrated. Yeah maybe some people are a little (or a lot) impatient, but when you can't keep you cool it, and make posts like this it leaves a bad taste in the mouth for all of us.

My personal suggestion, the forum is great for discussing the product, but its way to public for handling support. Official new information should be more of a one way communication from you, not a conversation. Support should be handled behind the scenes, not out in the open.

Right now if I want to know things like if there are any new updates I have to sift through pages of fanboys singing your praises, critics complaining, and you saying how busy you are.

Love the product but support needs to be handled differently.

Fair enough. Please tell me how to get the AFe Takeda intake tune then, please. I filled out the form before SEMA when you asked me to. I also emailed you logs.

Or just tell me to bug off. That's fine too, just don't leave me in a position of not knowing where I stand with regard to getting a response to my inquiry.

I guess I've nothing left to say either.

Thanks

OK - like i said before

I'm running down the form and completing it.

If you dont have a tune at all - you should call me.

There not a dam reason someone shouldn't have there tune by now.

If you filled out the form, I took care of it.

If you dont have the tune and you filled out the form, then check your spam folder or CALL ME.

I must have sent the tune to the wrong person or sent it to the wrong email address.

I'm not skipping over people on the form, I cross things off as I do them.

But I can't keep responding to the same posts.

Seriously guys - you dont have your tune why are you not calling me?

I'll be back in a few hours.

I haven't called because it wasn't uber urgent and I've been slammed at work when you're available.

I'll be calling you in a few minutes.

Because you told me to fill out the form.

I HAVE a tune, so I asked for the proper method of getting the aftermarket intake one. You told me to use the damned form so I did. Now you want me to call you. I'm in a business conference today in Vegas. It will be too late to call you once I'm done.

Any way, I'm sick of being treated like a troll instead of a paying customer. I have been very patient since the beginning when I had shipment issues with the group buy and I've remained one of your advocates. But I'm done with this attitude of being forced to walk on eggshells and constantly apologizing for fear of offending.

Like you said, I don't know what else to say.
