B1410 is under Main Body

The other two trouble codes didn't have a description.

I did experience loss of power, very low idle, and slip and CEL indicators.

Just got the car back today. Toyota refused to flash the ECU so they sent a new one and replaced the Cam Sprocket. As far as the rattling in the rear of the car they added foam/insulation, greased a few things here and there, and cleaned up some welds. Seems like the technician had some fun with the car...put 30 miles on it.

It's especially prevalent with people who run 91 octane. Has nothing to do with the electronics and everything to do with the programming.

I'm not saying there can't be something in the ECU which is the issue but I find it fairly suspect you'd have a bad input or output on the ECU itself without there being other major issues.
I know I had an 09 Hatch and 11 Sedan and put an AP as soon as I got home from the dealership. Did not mean that the ecu was a problem. That when people started having issues with the 08 STi subaru played stupid for a year before they officially annouced a recall for a flash.

We might see the same or we might see more parts needed to fix the issue.

I'm hoping the gravel sound is the sound of the engine knocking because it wasn't running correctly. It only exhibited this around when idle.

Dated 3 days ago posted on BRZ forum from a guy working at a Subaru dealer:
The crazy part is they released the VIN range for cars that would be affected by this reflash campaign, but no actual reflash software. Threw us for a loop. I even had a customer come in thinking that we were good to go only to find out when he's here that we didn't have the necessary software to reflash his BRZ. We have every software packet for this campaign except for the BRZ. Go figure...

So you are saying there is actually a campaign and a VIN range? This is the first I have heard of that. I check this thread daily but maybe I missed it.

Edit - perhaps there is one in Europe but none in NA?

New ECU on the way!

Yes! Got a call from the dealer asking me to bring my car in on Tuesday morning. A regional Subaru Field Engineer is coming to look at my car. Also Subaru HQ said to the dealer their local techs are not to touch the car. Crossing my fingers that the "healing" process is beginning.
Update: 11/06/12 230pm

Dropped of my car this morning at the dealership when it opened. Unfortunately the guy at the dealership had no idea when the Engineer would show up. And I couldn't sit around and wait (so I could ask the Engineer the many questions on my mind), I had to get to work. They gave me a Legacy as a free rental (better than a Yaris or Prius! Phew!).

Then got a call at 230pm from the dealership saying the Engineer recommends a new ECU. New ECU ETA is this Thursday. Dealership will call me on Thursday.

So i guess Subaru's repair path now is;
1st) New ECU
(then if CEL returns)
2nd) New Camgears???

Update on mine:

11/5/12, ECU was replaced.

Drove home, no idling issue, no CEL/SCL, and out of limp mode. Back to just like when I bought her :]

11/6/12: Put another 50 miles on, still running great. Seems to be fixed at this point! However, I think I hear my chirping coming back...and I've already had the fuel pump replaced.

After just a day at shop received a call an hour ago telling me my car was ready. Service lady said my "computer was replaced." I asked if that meant ECU reflash or new one. She said it was replaced. Ill update tomorrow after I pick it up.

At dealer. Visiting field service engineer again.

Edit: I should note the effing dealer didn't bother to call me yesterday to confirm the work was actually done.
