+1. As stated - if you put enough effort into making a thread you may as well redo the badge location.

What's going to kill you is if you don't redo it and you go to a car meet and someone also rebadged their FRS but managed to rebadge in proper location

Redo if you get bothered by stuff like that. Don't if you don't care all that much because there isn't a Toyota logo on the left side to match it up against.

I replaced the Scion badges with Toyota ones but I think it looks much cleaner without any FR-S or GT-86 badge period.

Maybe it's because I'm not really a car guy, or maybe it's the angle of the pictures, but, I really can't tell it's off. >_>

It is a bit too far to the left as you look at the back of the car. Took me a bit to see it as well.... I say it doesn't matter.

Do what makes you feel better. If you want the OEM look, it needs to move.

It still looks better than the Camry badges they intentionally mount crooked on the trunk of new mdoels.

I can't help but wonder why you would ask our opinion when it's only you that the issue is important to.

Redo it if it came with a template to position it exactly like the JDM/EDM version. If you are going to eyeball it, it still won't be spot on to where it should be. In that case, I would keep it where it is (assuming you marked and replaced it exactly where the FR-S badge originally was). Like someone mentioned, the current position lines up better with your USDM license plate. In that sense, the current position (if exactly lined up to USDM badging) will be more "perfect" than if you were to eyeball it to the JDM/EDM position.

I'd like to extend my thanks to each and everyone who responded despite their answer.

I'm going to leave the badge where it is because I do not want to debadge and risk damage to the paint again even though I'm still pretty delicate, plus the risk of micro marring. I'd rather have a badge in the wrong position than messed up paint.

I'll address some of the statements I've seen;

- I'm asking for opinions because I wanted to see if it people actually cared that it isn't in the vicinity of the original location on a factory GT86.

- I thought it would've been like an "unwritten rule" or a widely accepted practice to badge the GT86 emblem at the original spot (but the badging instructions did not come with the badge even though a PDF of it does exist)

- Lurkers and existing members will also have a peace of mind when/if installing their own badge.

- I'm not putting the TOYOTA badge because the T badge is enough to expose the Toyota heritage. Even in a factory GT86, I would've taken it off.

- Yes the current GT86 badge is right where the original FR-S was located. (In reality it is only a few single-digit millimeters higher to the left)

- I am a cat so I have 9 lives

Thank you again everyone!
