My wait time just got reduced by 6-8 months (or whatever the wait is now)! Just happened to call around to some dealers, and Subaru of London just received in a SWP BRZ Sport-Tech which is exactly what I had on order from Subaru of Mississauga.

Apparently the guy who ordered it, decided it was too small (?) when he came to pick it up. Sooo I went down first thing this morning, and boom! Picking it up next Saturday! So damn excited and now I'll even get a week or two in before the winter tires go on lol. Now I don't have to worry about getting into any fender benders or whatever with my trade-in 2011 GTI.

Went to local dealer October 15th and order "any" 6mt BRZ. Told anywhere from April to July 2013.
Was driving up island the next week and dropped in at the dealership there. Told sales man looking for BRZ and he said come on in. He knew of one available in BC, made a phone call and it was still available. The person that could approve the transfer was not available. A few days later and transfer approved. Just waiting for it to be shipped down.

Hopefully you guys get your cars soon if you haven't already...! I had spoken to the dealer expressing interest at the end of June, mentioned i'd like to get something by sept/oct if possible to coincide with convocation. Put pen to paper early July- at the end of July my other car was rear ended and written off, the following weekend first week of August my FR-S was ready for delivery . I went to Open Road Port-Moody since they're a bit out of the way, and from all the dealers I contacted locally they had the shortest waiting list. Nobody else was waiting for a Raven MT- they were also willing to trade with other dealers to fill orders. I was in touch with my sales guy (Henry Shen) the entire time... And when i called about my accident he told me it was on the boat, he called me the day it arrived, within a few days it cleared the port, and 1 day after it hit their lot they had it ready for delivery. (no front mount, and plastic still on seats as requested).

If anyone in Vancouver hasn't ordered yet- i'd highly recommend dealing with Open Road Port Moody. If you talk to Henry or the sales managed Obaid say Jensen referred you . I since bought another Yaris from them to replace the one that was written off... Mine was a 2008 with 170,000kms, base model- they got me into a 2008 RS with 28,000 kms for what ICBC gave me for mine, and detailed it, fixed up any minor scratches etc all n/c. I'd highly recommend them.

I ordered my car on the 14th of August.

At that time I was 4th on the list of FR-S orders and was given the standard "6-8 week wait period".

Two weeks later I walked in with a cheque for the balance of the car and went to the top of the wait list.

My FR-S was delivered on the 24th of September.

Total wait time: 41 days

According to Autotrader it looks like Anthony's in Kelowna may have a WRB in stock. I say "may" as the local dealer here (Saunders) lists 4 BRZ's and I am 14th on the wait list for any colour 6MT.

I was just at Subaru of London getting the lease of my WRX transferred and the sales manager mentioned you cause we got talking about the BRZ. He also said it's really hard for them to get excited about a car that they can't sell cause they don't have any cars and most of the sales guys have never even driven the car because every single one that comes in is already sold.

To be honest I was originally looking to get a BRZ because I have a lot of respect for Subaru and I liked the front end better for some reason (even if I'm the minority on that). I went in asking about it in September and was told that maybe in March?... if I'm lucky? So I went down to the Scion dealer and my Ultramarine FR-S 6MT is supposed to be showing up in December. The $2k price difference doesn't hurt either and I've since come to really like the front end on the FR-S. Car looks much better in person than it does in pictures.
