1300 miles... I went to change the factory oil filter and it was on way too tight to remove by hand thanks to the industrially trained gorillas in Gunma... started the ol' "hammer a screwdriver into the filter to torque it off" trick. Hammering wasn't working well so I pulled out the electric drill, made a big ol' hole, inserted said screwdriver and got that mutha off.

Then went to lift the car from the front and found that my large heavy duty floor jack (family heirloom from my dad) won't fit under the front ... will scrape the underside by about 0.25". So I didn't change the oil yet, decided to go look at ramps and/or a low profile floor jack. Then later in the day found a few scrap pieces of 2x4 wood that should help me raise the front just enough to get the jack under there. Getting late so I guess I will do the oil change tomorrow...

Used the heated seats with the windows down. Never had heated seats but I LOVE them i drive with the windows down during winter and now I don't have to use the heater!

1326 miles... changed the oil and installed Fumoto F108 drain valve. That's the short version.

Long version... went to Harbor Freight, bought jackstands and ramps, brought them home and realized the ramps won't work. Too high and will hit the low front bumper before the tires reach the ramp. Wood blocks didn't help. So I ended up lifting up the car from the sides, sliding the ramps underneath, then putting the car down on them. Anyways got the first oil change done.

If it's not lowered, get the Rhino Ramps. Also, invest in a craftsman oil filter socket wrench adapter. They are great!

the ramps I got apparently have an extension piece available that accommodates lowered cars (my BRZ is stock by the way). But I think I may just lift it and put on jack stands next time, the whole driving up on ramps thing was actually more stressful for me than just jacking it up. To use the ramps "properly" you need to line them up and have a 2nd person be a spotter, whereas I can lift and stand my car all by myself. Plus if you're doing anything with the wheels/brakes the ramps are kind of pointless.

yeah I will consider a filter wrench if I start letting Subaru change my oil... I had one for my Toyotas but the filter size is totally different.

Led interior light kit and Greddy intake installed. Premiums don't have the wiring for the door lights. Oh well!

Honestly, I didn't make note of it. Was just driving and trying to work my way through traffic.
